Unpacking a 4-pack?

afaik you can't. when activated the person that activates it gets one copy to the library and 3 to give away. so when you have the game you can't use another 4 pack. says so on the page. can't even buy it for yourself when you have the game

If you can't separate it, you need to give it to someone else to do it. They will get one copy in their library and 3 extra in their inventory.

Best case may be to find someone you trust to give back the other 3 for gifts once they activate the other 4 pack on their account?

What kind of 4 packs were these out of curiosity? From Steam themselves or another store?

Asking 'cause I was thinking of buying a 4 pack from a key selling store and I don't know how they work. Unsure if you get one key that activates a copy and gives 3 giftables just like when buying on the Steam Store and just how you've mentioned or if they send 4 keys.
