It's not only online but I take it online is the main draw once you get through the initial "campaign" They update the game with challenges each month which partly will need online to be completed but I take it they will stop with those as well as they did with FH3.

Forza Horizon 4 has Lego DLC IIRC. 3 has Hot Wheels.

This said i totally understand your mistake and i'm habit to do it too, in my opinion ALL the videogames industry has Esagerate to abuse the "Split Content" model (dlcs etc.) so is easy for a normal customer (like me) to do mistakes in this , it's impossible to track all separated content released and top of this some companies use strategy of "confusion marketing" and "brainwash marketing" so because it's not a clear\honest way to sell things in this way is easy for customers do fail to remember something especially if about DLCS that in 1 month is released in hundreds if not thousands in these days...
Also i think sadly very soon internet\communications\phone companies will follow the split content too by limit what people can access and make it pay in separated packet.

i hope\think at least in europe the european commision one day do something for stop this,in my opinion a product must be selled only when\if is complete , in other industry that is not about videogames , if you sell a product not finished it will be declared as a Fraud\Scam ... but in videogames industry sell incomplete product it's a normal thing,in my opinion this is wrong.
if you create a game and is complete sell it , if your game is not complete so not sell it...wait to sell it when is finished...

Top of this some publishers apply region lock but this is and must to be illegal,remove freedom to customers and rights to enjoy what people buy,without to talk about lootboxes,microtransactions and all other bad things that is always only about business\money but create a toxic market.
someone make a game expensive to produce? ok sell it at $1000€ you create it you choose the price can sell it also at $100.000.000€ if you want...,. but not that u give it at 10€ or "FakeFREEtoplay" and then fraud kids with in-game pay-currencies,pay-lootbox surprise,pay-level up etc.. this is a fraud scam toxic way to sel things NOT HONEST and i really not understand how until now this is possible and no one stop this,is absurd.

And about FH3,if the problem is about the copyright\license of some music,they can just remove the music,both PC and XBOX is already able to play music owned byself so... i not see reason for remove an entire game for this,bah.... for me looks like an excuse\lie for force people to buy the new expensive forza that is coming (forza8\forzahorizon5 etc.) by disable them to access the old and buy it for cheap.
