You should've been able to find your answer on google in about 20-30 seconds. To answer your question, yes, according to the internet it should work together. The performance may be slightly reduced since your video card provides newer technology, while your motherboard supports an older one.
If you're interested, you could compare GTX 650 to HD 7770, it's pretty much an equivalent from AMD.

That mobo has 1.1 pci express, so i would upgrade your mobo to get full advantage. PCI express cards are reverse compatible both ways though, so you should be fine. It will just run slower. Also, if your budget is $120, don't forget to put in the cost of shipping.
GTX 650 is a good card. HD 7770 will also be around that same performance. Check out PCPartPicker for latest pricing.
Here is a comparison between the 7770 and 650. 7770 wins more than the 650, so id go with it.

As I & Gramis earlier mentioned, HD 7770 is in the same price range, and more powerful at most games. Other cards, I'd assume, are way out of your price range. You could have a look at GTX 650 Ti, it's faster than the HD 7770, though both of those cards are so good, it doesn't matter that much.
It would also be useful to know the resolution of the monitor/TV you plan on using. Though looking at benchmarks, all cards mentioned run games at extremely high settings at a playable FPS (30+). If you'll be using something lower than 1920x1080 (1080p HD), then it doesn't matter at all which card you get.

I play alot of my game's on 800-600, 1024-768, yet but sad i play at a very low resolution but i really don't care, it still look's very good. I think i will get the GTX 650 then later on maybe i will get a GTX 670?

Look boss, Im going to put it down straight. Save more money! The 7850 is what you want to be looking at. Only 60 dollars more nets you 100% more performance. It is a great deal. 50% more input with 100% more performance? Unheard of.
As for your mobo, yeah, not ideal, but these cards do not use the full bandwidth and you will be fine on x16. Anything after this I would tell you to upgrade that as well. The big deal here is the power supply really. The 7850 is only a 100W card, but you would still want a half decent PSU for it. Something with 400W or more.
Trust me on this, I know computer shit. I just dunked a few grand into mine and I build them for people all the time. If you have questions, add my ass on steam and I will let your ass know all the info you need.
Trust.

First of all, all PCI-E x1 x8 x16 2.0 3.0 are backwards compadible. More important is wether your power supply has enough wattage. If your psu is 300 watts i'd get a gt630

Don't get below x60 in the Nvidia GTX series, they aren't for gaming purposes.
The first number 4xx, 5xx, 6xx, etc - refers to the series, higher is better technology.
The next numbers however refer to it's performance:
x50 - used for applications
x60 - basic gaming (designed for the average gamer)
x70 - good gaming (high graphic gaming)
x80 - great gaming (ultra graphic gaming)
x90 - almost two x80 glued together for well overpriced (for people with more money than sense)
So a 570 GTX is much better than a 650 GTX in performance and will even outperform a 660TI, it's just your'll have better technology in the 6s series.
I suggest getting a GTX 660TI for basic good gaming, or GTX 680 if your a hardcore gamer! Don't go cheap on the graphics card, it's where most of the performance juice ends up and it's the biggest bang for your buck.

So far i have this ancient video card and i am looking at this video card GTX 650
i saw some gameplay's of it and so far it look's and play's very good, but it say's it need's PCI Express 3.0 x16 and my motherboard that's a Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2P, It say's PCI Express x16, I really don't know what version of PCI Express my motherboard is, my question is, Will my motherboard work with the GTX 650 and does PCI Express 3.0 mean that i need to update my motherboard?
