Hi... Are the sims 3 + pets worth it? its only $17 and, i donw know if buy it or not because i have a few question...
I see that there is simspoints in game that allow u to buy items for the sims 3, but, the only way to get this points is buying it.. so i just wondering if there is a way to add items for free and of course, legally..
Other question is if this game is compatible with windows 8, i read that it is, but it would be nice if some1 that have the game and can confirm it... thanks 4 your time...

Well those Simpoints are most for furniture skins and that, so no big deal. I'm not sure if there are free items. In the Sims 2 there was a kind of workshop and people uploaded things there. But to be honest I don't know if that's still on TS3

And yeah, the Sims 3 is quite entertaining, and Pets makes it even better. The Magic expansion is also quite good IMO.

I can't tell if it works in W8, I'm using 7

Sims3 have thousands of free items, and the points can be used to buy some land packsthat are in the storelike a couple new towns.

My girlfriend certainly seems to think so.

And that sounded way to much like bragging, I'm sorry.

It's wonderful, sims points are only for blueprints and skins for furniture and whatever else.

thanks, my only problem is I have retail The Sims 3(Origin) and Steam wont let you buy DLC for games you don't own, I heard that you can view the CD key if you bought it on Steam and register it on Origin, but not Origin to Steam.

Yeah sucks hard that you can't register this game on Steam....I honestly am too afraid to try and buy a DLC for a game I down own since I don't know if you can see the key....or are you sure you can see it? :)

I'm pretty sure you can, but you can't buy DLC for games you don't own (on steam) unless you add it to inventory and in inventory you can't see it.
also are you referring to TS3/DLC as this "game" ?

actually I could buy a TS3 DLC w/o owning the game...it didn't give any info that I need to buy the base....not that I bought it or anything but it lets me add it in and proceed checkout for myself

How long would it take for EA to start sims 4? Sims 3 has been going since 09 with around 10 expansions so far. It is EA so I don't know.

I believe that in the stream they said like 3 more packs. Because of the technical problems they had lol.

University is the first of three expansions they're releasing this year.

The game is worth the price, you might also be interested in Seasons, makes the game fun too. SimPoints are really a waste of money....come on 2$ for a chair? I think not! And yes, the game is fully compatible with Windows 8 :)

Yeah, I think it's a good buy. Has a lot of replay value. I lost countless hours to Sims 3 before.

I played this game long time ago, i think few time after the release, so I don't know if it's changed something, and i had the feel that was incomplete i found that the sims 2 was better. Maybe with the tons of dlc they released the game is better but the dlc also cost much, many of them cost like the game itself...so I don't know..
