Bundle

OLD PART OF THE THREAD:

look here (not working anymore, as I anticipated)
look here #2

Scribblenauts Unlimited is basically confirmed, the other 5 games can be something like Batman (I hope in Arkham City) or LEGO Games.
Unfortunately Bastion (wich appeared in many bundles before) is a Warner Bros. game, so I think it will be in.

I always did BTA for Humble Bundles since Humble Bundle 3, but now that they changed policy about the Steam keys I'm not so sure I'll do again, because I'll end up wasting most of the games, I already have Scribblenauts Unlimited, Batman Arkham Asylum and Bastion, for example.

I was being sarcastic since the game got mediocre reviews, full of bugs, plus most of the people got it for free or buying cheap nvidia codes, so I assume their sales are also pretty low...

That is way too new for that.. I would be very, very shocked. Now if they do a 3rd tier like they did with Dead Island Riptide.. that I can almost see happening.. but I really doubt it still.

hah, even with 20$ tier 2 BTA, I wouldn't buy that. RU isn't legion locked last time I checked

Comment has been collapsed.

"Batman Arkham Origins (RU + CIS)" maybe not region locked but I wouldn't take it if not row

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

What maybe, it is not region locked. Until someone gives me a game that is not region locked before and got region locked after and becomes unplayable. Then I'm waiting for a steam sale then getting it in RU.

I got Metro:LL was from RU when it still has a RU/CIS entry in the database and it was not region locked back then. After the sale, the RU/CIS subid disappeared and was replaced with RU and (Non-EU/US/CA/RU/OC). I can still play metro:LL purchased from RU, this means even they region lock it after, I can still play it.

I mean, even if it's not region locked it's from a different region :P

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You can get Batman Arkham Origins RU preorder key for 17.75$ from direct2play.com, or for ~14$ on plati.ru if you have access to russian payment options. It's not region locked, I bought 2 copies, one for me and one for friend, we're both in Canada and it works just fine.
In purchase history it doesn't even mention anything about it being RU.

I'm not in a rush on getting this game, So I can wait for 50-75% sale on steam and get it on RU price on steam.

No big deal if it does because... well, I was going to say because EA would buy them out but that is an even worse fate than letting it just die.

Comment has been collapsed.

humbles have been useless to me since they started forcing everything on one key and now the new method which is no different. I never want all of the games in the bundles. It's not that I want to trade keys either, because that is a waste of time. I wish they would just allow you to pick the games you want, even if its the same price...whether it puts them all on one key or directly into your steam account doesnt matter to me. But I doubt I will find another humble bundle I want again. I'm just not the type of person that wants every game in existence on their steam account.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Sorry, but you're a weirdo. Its a slew of games at a very low price and you're worried about something you dont want being on your account? Take the games you dont want, categorize them as such, and never open the category. Problem solved.

The amount of XP you get for owning 250, 500, etc. games is hardly anything. Maybe 1 xp per game. Wow... gotta have em all huh?

Better than nothing

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

it mind as well be nothing. do the math. here I will do it for you...

if you buy 2,000 steam games, you get 2,384 XP. Sure if you are level 0 that will make you level 16. If you are level 100 that will make you level 102. It's not much of a help at all. It's just irrelevant to even mention XP for the amount of games you own, all it is - is another badge that everyone owns and happens to give you a little xp.

Thanks for the tip genius. Who doesn't know you can categorize your library? I must be as weird as you are intelligent... or wait... I'm as weird as you are stupid, yeah that's it.

I'll accept the fact if you want to say I have a case of Steam OCD, but not wanting every shitty game or game you aren't interested in - in your library, is hardly being weird. I'm just not like the majority of people when it comes to owning steam licenses.

Or you know, you could just... not redeem the games you don't want? You could probably give them to a friend you know irl by unlinking your steam account and linking theirs temporarily.

Scribblenauts is almost 1 year old and already has its sequel (Scribblenauts Unmasked), that's why I think it is in a bundle

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I'm amazed how fast the price went down on it though, I think I saw it on sale for $5 a few months ago. It didn't premier on Steam for $60, but it was on the Wii U at that price...how often have you seen games that sell for $60 get all the way down to $5 so quickly?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not sure about the unmasked one but the other one did go for $5.00 on both Steam as well as GMG during the summer sale.

Yea it is a bit.. odd that it went down in price like that.. then again from what I understand it sold extremely well before it went on a sale ( and sold very well during the sales as well ) so... shrug

Already have Bastion, FEAR and Scribblenauts so I'll have to see what the other games are. Humble forcing you to waste games you already own is annoying, no matter how cheap you get them for.

More excited for the next Groupees tbh.

The Scribblenauts ad says support "We Can Be Heroes" which is a DC Comics initiative. With that being in there, I think its almost assured that there will be at least one of the 2 previous Batman games in the bundle (I'd bet on Asylum). I'm really hoping for the Lego Harry Potters. They're both on my wishlist. I own a lot of WBs stuff already espc in respect to Batman, but will be getting the bundle anyway if those are in it. The Watchmen games are also WB and are both old enough that I could see them included as well. It's minimum 6 games (Scribblenauts + 5) and WB's catalog is not very long to begin with.

I predict:

Non-BTA:

  • FEAR
  • Bastion
  • Lego Harry Potter 1-4
  • Mortal Kombat

BTA:

  • Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY
  • Scribblenauts Unlimited

I've already got Arkham Asylum but I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet so I really do hope it's not in the bundle. :P But chances are that it is, so I hope it's at least the BTA.

Lego Indiana Jones and Star Wars are not WB Games. Lucasarts, now owned by Disney. Lego is not owned by WB and the LEGO games have different publishers. Only the WB properties will be potentially in this bundle. Meaning Batman, LOTR, or Potter.

Since Batman Arkham Asylum is an older game it's more likely to be in a Humble Warner Bros Bundle than Batman Arkham City.

My bet is Scribblenauts BTA and Bastion + Fear + Lego Games UTA
