If you have Deiland, the previous version of the original game, on your Steam Library, don’t worry. You won’t have to purchase it again. Just complete this form before the game releases and we’ll send a Steam key for Deiland: Pocket Planet for free!

Whether you want to get notified when the game is released or you are waiting to receive your key for having the original Deiland, please add the game to your wishlist! It is a huge help for us. Thank you!

Hi everyone,

The solution proposed by emtlit is a good one, but sadly we have parted ways with the publisher and we cannot longer access to these packages. So we had to come up with the form.

As some of you pointed rightly, the form was closed due to running out of free space. We just fixed this and now you should be able to register your answers properly. Regarding the Steam user, sending the profile url would be enough.

We will let the form open until the release of the game, so anybody who had the previous game can have enough time to get the new version.

We expect to have the keys ready around the release week

Good news! We are sending this email to confirm that your answers were properly registered in our form and you will receive your key for Deiland: Pocket Planet in your email account.

We are still working in the publishing process before release, but once we have the keys ready we will let you know and send them right away.

Hi there! You still have a chance to get the new version of the game. Send us an email with a screenshot of Deiland in your library and we'll send you a new key. Thanks!

Well hopefully, this one would be a BIG improvement over the first one cause the first one sucks. How the heck Deiland got a "very positive" review, I still have no clue

It didn't suck, but it was clearly unfinished. Devs probably ran out of money before they could complete it, but decided to release anyway to at least make some money from it.

The form Deiland: Pocket Planet is no longer accepting responses.
Try contacting the owner of the form if you think this is a mistake.

If you got the error when submitting, I'd say: Yes, definitely.
If not, well not so sure. You can try if you can, if the form will let you resubmit or not.

Sending a confirmation email to everyone might take time if it does happen at all. As the release date is Q4 2021 I wouldn't expect them to send keys before this time.

After seeing everyone say "thanks" it looked to me like they already got some feedback/mail/key/something

About the feedback, I don't know if we'll get any.
About the keys, a dev replied in the topic "About you folks handing out keys via Google Forms" on Steam.
Question : Can you tell, when we should expect receive keys? before or after release?
Answer from the dev : We expect to have the keys ready around the release week (which is Q4 2021).

I'll follow the game on Steam to not forget about it and the key.

Anyone else had trouble uploading the screenshot to the form?
Tried it in png, tried it in jpeg and each time i get a message saying „file denied by server”.

Found a workaround, maybe it will help someone with the same problem:

Instead of uploading it straght to the form, upload it to Google Drive and pick the file from there

Uploading straight to the form worked for me, but thanks for the workaround nonetheless.

Need to have a Google account to use the form? :P

Well, it's done, for better or worse.

I don't know why they need a screenshot for proof if they have your Steam ID. Should have just made a private Steam group based on Deiland ownership, then PM all members a key when available, imo.

They should have asked for steam ID number instead. A lot of people have the same username but steam IDs are unique.
Hopefully they'll send them via email.

I guess you mean profile name / alias. No 2 people can have the same steam username.

Permalink

Yeah, but the Steam ID number is public while the username is private and confidential. You should avoid sharing it to avoid problems in your account.

they gave Deiland away for free, so a ton of people have it. now those people are trying to get this one for free. so somebody has to look at every single image and spend ages. basic math my guy

And if they knew how Steam works, then could have automated this.

And if you knew how to read you would know why they did it by form instead of automated.

Screenshot is a really bad proof of ownership. Might as well just gave it out for free.

They could just require users to make the game library public until the ownership is automatically verified.

Happy cake day! I thought that too, but according to a discussion in the Steam forums they don't have access anymore to the old repositories because they are owned by another publisher (madsession is right);

Basically, it's just an updated version of the old game. They parted way with their publishers, so can't do what you're suggesting. I'm sure they know how Steam works.

Happy cake day!

Open the first link (https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1623700/view/3001072216369602758).
Under the second screenshot, there is "If you have Deiland, the previous version of the original game, on your Steam Library, don’t worry. You won’t have to purchase it again. Just complete this form before the game releases and we’ll send a Steam key for Deiland: Pocket Planet for free! "
Click on "form".
Then fill the form properly and wait until likely November (the release of the game) to get the Steam key by e-mail.
