Aquaria soundtrack is amazing, I bought it myself about a month ago.
But some of the songs remind me of the story, and the story is damn depressing at times.

I prefer my music in FLAC format so sadly these don't appeal to me. I usually get the music legitimately elsewhere if I like it.

If you purchase soundtracks/music off of Bandcamp you can download it in a FLAC form, generally.
Just trying to help.

Bandcamp is sometimes one of those elsewheres, yes. :P

Also, the Frozen Synapse soundtrack is amazing (as is the red dlc one)

He fails to hit the idea of personal users keeping a lossless archive just to do their own conversions to whatever format they want, which would be less work for him if someone requests a weird bitrate or something. :P

I buy soundtracks, but generally not off of Steam. I prefer bandcamp for all of my music purchasing needs.
The OSTs I have bought are- Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy, Aquaria, They Bleed Pixels, Awesomenauts, Dustforce, Bastion, and Sword and Sworcery. I love all of them and listen to them regularly.
Of course, that's not including the ones I got from other sources if you know what I mean...

I don't know what you mean, please state it clearly. >.>

Am I the only one who loved (most of) the final fantasy Xiii-2 soundtrack?
I often buy the soundtrack when I really appreciate it, but only after playing the game and knowing I love the music, so no soundtrack edition for me, like I did for treasure adventure game or disgaea 4.

To The Moon and Bastion have some of the best music I've ever heard in a game. I play them often. I also download any music I get from a bundle, like HIB, or Groupees, or whathaveyou. I got To The Moon from Indie Royale, and immediately went on Steam and bought the soundtrack for it as well. I'm considering purchasing the Hotline Miami soundtrack as well, as that is also quite good

I love game soundtracks, but sadly, I haven't bought a single one yet (excluding limited edition ones). I think music is really imporatnt and changes game experience a lot. I mean, the amount of chills I had when I've first heard MGS3 theme at the end of game, I still remember it. Some of my favourite soundracks are Muramasa: The Demon Blade, MGS3, Chrono Trigger, Guilty Gear series, Super Mario Galaxy and I'd love to buy them someday, but there's so many games to get first :D

I really want to buy this
Shatter Soundtrack Limited Edition 12" Vinyl Album
For the sheer goodwill of it, it's worth the price, but I'm sure the sound quality would ramp up as well if I were to listen to it.

I would prefer Retro City Rampage Limited Edition Vinyl.
But having Shatter vinyl would be awesome too. The only problem is I don't have anything to play vinyls.

Do you guys usually prefer to get the soundtrack edition of a game? What are your favorite game soundtracks?
I almost always prefer it because I enjoy the music in games. I bought the soundtrack edition of To The Moon and my wife listens to all the time now. Do you guys feel the same or is the game music just an "eh" topic to most people?
My current favorite game soundtracks are
Journey (PS3)
Bastion
To The Moon
FTL
Sword & Sworcery
