Suspicious Accounts Trying To Get Invite Codes

So, B12G has had a recent influx of people signing up to the forums and asking for invite codes. Pretty much all of them are suspicious as hell. Escaped Lunatic means they're a new poster.

Just a warning in case other forums start to suffer from this crap.

PS. How the hell do I insert links? Is it simple HTML code? <- Issue resolved.

If you look at the top of the forums page you will see a few sticky posts. One of them is Formatting FAQ

I don't think there's anything suspicious about them, they're just folks seeing an opportunity to get invites.

I don't understand it either. Maybe a few of those will stick to that site and hang around and become active members. They had the benefit of a special code for free and now they are complaining about the side effects.

It all started on SteamGameSales.com and there hasn't been a special code for them once (only for the 100 most active users). They could have kept the Code "private" and only give it out by PM so we would have a lot less complaining now :-/

yup, nothing suspicious. i got my invite yesterday asking the same way in the steam group chat.

I don't see the issue really, most of the bay12ers will only give codes to non-lunatics anyways.

Besides forums are filled with accounts that posted only one or two posts, its nothing new.
