As a counterpoint to this thread:

I am wondering if anyone has changed their posting habits since whitelisting came available. Does the prospect of getting added to a whitelist make you more brave and willing to comment?

For me, I haven't changed how I post. I have definitely whitelisted people based on their posts in the discussion area.

Are you more likely to post cause of the whitelist?

Nope, still the same. I see no point in hiding/acting different, than who I am.

Nope, I don't think the pity whitelists for being depressed/suicidal outweigh the blacklists I get for spamming bloggy emo shit on the website. I just base it on how much an annoyance it will be. I like writing, and myself is the topic I'm best at writing so I don't have a problem sharing my views, but if it's controversial and I don't want to deal with drama I might not.

Like I said before and will say again - I don't change shit in how I do things because of the whitelist/blacklist stuff. I'm an ass and will keep on being one. :D

I post the same, I tend to be quite nice on websites online. It's only when I become really close friends with someone that I start being really sarcastic and mean (but in a loving way). Not sure why that is, I guess I just don't like being a jerk and I know that strangers would be much more likely to take my sarcasm seriously than someone I'm already cool with.

Nope whitelist or blacklist not changing who I am to fit someones list. Only one list truly matters anyway the Hitlist currently Includes Earth, The known universe , and all dimensions that may or may not exist. .!.

all i can say is if i ever find out who blacklisted me, i will blacklist them back.
whitelists are an honor, i suppose, but i don't feel they have much use except private giveaways, which, i think we already have via the levels system...

but what do i know, only 1 week+ old here. the blacklist thing did make me upset for one day.

Less likely.
Being in a large number of whitelists comes with a great responsibility!
