It wasn't just an announcement. It was actually in the game as a live mode that you could play. They removed it now but it was alive for a day. There are talks to actually keep it in the game as a returning event once in a while but it needs more work on it than it currently has.

I'm looking pretty perfect. But I'm not searching for jokes just to see them. The jokes should be there. I'm not supposed to google them just to see them. And April Fools' jokes should be surprise so how the hell "I am not looking good" is even a valid argument? I'm not meant to search for this. Jokes should mean to search me and surprise me.

I don't know about other countries, but here in Russia we haven't actually recovered from the death of 64 people including more than 40 children in the fire yet, plus almost every day people get detained during dump protests, plus there's this shit with international diplomatic conflict because apparently my beloved state can't even assassinate a former spy properly, so no, I'm not in a mood for jokes.

I don't like things that ar bad taste. But some of it were cool. Discord/Chrono.gg things or Google/DeviantArt jokes about new technologies.
Of course I want those good jokes, not just anything, even if it's bad.

If they had ever really managed to be funny then I would probably miss them however the majority of April fools are either not even remotely funny or sometimes even in poor taste.
So I for one am happy that there has been a much smaller amount of shite than usual.

Also this year Discord joke was funny. Chrono.gg had also funny joke, that had some purpose too.
But there is not much things that they do to fool or joke. And I would like to get some more interesting jokes and fools.
