Offline Mode

So I've kinda had this thing bugging me about the Steam achievement/hour played system.
I've played (tried) most if not all the GAs and other free games I've won so far. Completing them is another story. :| (yay me)
However, i usually just play these games offline after just downloading them to my laptop to bring with me on my travels overseas,
but Steamy doesn't track some of my hours and stuff when i do that. and dem achievements too. AND de cards. :(
So it kinda makes me feel like i have a tarnished track record and all dat stuff. Plus i don't want to have to on the games again just to grind for cards.
So do you guys think that Steam should implement something to track all these??
Or is it just fine the way it is now and i'm just being a crybaby that just wants his steam cards? :(

Also here's a GA for the next 0 hours or so since i made the GA before thinking of doing this so sorry. :(

Well Steam acts weird when on offline mode, thats for sure. I haven't came across in something like your case cause I'm like never on offline mode to notice something, but yeah they have to tide up the offline mode a bit.

I for one would be happy if they did managed to track those things in Offline mode. My wifi isn't exactly the best and sometimes I just had to go for Offline mode just to access my library. The achievements are unlockable in offline mode, btw. So at least it's something.

The thing is, when i'm away, I don't go online at all. overseas data is expensive you know? XD
and i do it a lot of times while i'm there. :(

Offline mode doesn't keep track of playtime, and doesn't drop cards. Also, some games don't have achievements in offline mode.
For my part, I started using a cardfarmer software a few weeks ago, in order to still get cards, and I don't care for the achievements and playtime...

I'm not sure, but I think you get the achievements when you connect back to Steam. Last time I moved it took some 3 weeks to get my internet connection installed so I played Skyrim for those 3 weeks offline. I'm pretty sure I got the achievements as soon as I connected after those 3 weeks.

Yeah some achievements don't register while in offline mode, it sucks. But at least for getting the cards you can use Idle Master and farm them overnight or something.
