Well I did say that I would run other puzzles concurrently with the giant puzzle event that is Mikalye's Riddle Dungeon. And here is the first of these. It is not an original puzzle, as all of my brain cells for the past week went into the Dungeon, but it is a really nice logic problem that turns on Magnets, and the prize this week is (obviously enough) Magnetic: Cage Closed, which entirely appropriately turns on your manipulating magnetism to solve puzzles.

It is a a single Its Too Hard question, and you can find it here

Again, as with all the logic puzzles, there is a detailed explanation of how it works, with a worked example. You do not necessarily need to read the worked example if you just want to get stuck in. Enjoy.

I've made a few of these before, though they were without monopoles, and they were only 5 by 6... I've been stuck staring at all those possibilities for hours (-_-)

Actually, the monopoles make it easier than some of the magnets problems I have worked on, as they have to have a charge, but if you are not familiar with them, they can confuse things.

Nope, this is a "normal" puzzle. Runs less than a week. A single puzzle.
The rest of my puzzles for this year are linked below.

Solved :)

Give me logic challenges and provide the rules and I am all over it...Mikalye, your word games drive me crazy though, just not my normal thought pattern ;)

I have never done one of these, but once I understood the rules, breaking thing down and playing it like chess where you explore multiple probable paths helps me to deduce.

Nordhbane says much the same to me.
I like both types and will continue to alternate.

You both provide some pretty interesting puzzles to explore! It gives a whole different depth to this site to enjoy!

Thanks and keep up the awesome work...I have to get back to my new life in your dungeon until I find my way out ;)
