you could say it was a SPOOKY experience
you were SCARED at how bad the game was
the game is DEAD to you.

Really? Because I bought two 4-packs and gifted 6 of my 7 extras to friends. None of us had any problems whatsoever, none of the kind you describe for sure, nor any other game breaking issues. It also ran fine, performance was good, game design is good.
How much would you bet that if you did a base, fresh Windows 7 install, you'd not have any problems running this? That this is, you know, the fault of your own crappy PC / fucked up OS install?

"Fanboy"? Umm, no. It's just that I am sick and fucking tired of morons posting hate for whatever game most likely based purely on their own lack of skill in operating / maintaining a PC properly. It's unwarranted and unfair. This particular game - like most games I see people bitching about in some way - has none of the issues the guy described for me, nor any of the 6 people I gifted the game to. The game was fun, and worked fine.

Yeah it has no issues for you and has issues to lots of other people.
Ofcourse for casuals as you're random fps drops(on gtx770) isn't a problem.
And fuck Windows 7, ill never get back to that dated shit.
Game isn't fun because it's only for killing zombies which is extremely easy and no story mode at all, worst game of the year

Umm.. Wait a sec. What does "Ofcourse for casuals as you're random fps drops(on gtx770) isn't a problem" even mean? That's not even proper English. Are you implying that I'm a casual somehow? Sure.. Casual.. I've only been gaming for 23 or so years, have a powerful PC, and have gamed competitively for many of those years. Not that you'd know, just as you know nothing else about me. Which doesn't even matter, anyway, as it's entirely irrelevant to what we're discussing. Good try changing the subject by going for some good ol' ad hominems, though, yo.
Again - no one I know has any random FPS drop issues, or any other such issues, barring friends who have lower spec hardware, anyway. The game's also had a few updates since launch, which addressed a bunch of bugs. Is your opinion based on the game at launch, potentially?
And to me, the game is fun. So too, to the people I gifted it to, and played with. As the other guy below me replied, the game doesn't pretend to be anything other than a good old fashioned zombie slaughter fest, in any of its' marketing or hype. It doesn't pretend to be a single player story driven game, nor is there any hint of there being a story mode (on a $15 game, by the way). It's simple in its' premise - 4 player coop zombie killing, and yet you still bitch about the quality of the game, going so far as to call it the worst game of the year? Man o man, aren't you just a special kind of stupid.
The game has good quality, and succeeds in what it sets out to do quite well, something a lot of even AAA games can't say, nowadays. Not that personal taste should or indeed even can qualify as an indicator of quality, anyway. And again - no problems on people I know, across a range of decent - good hardware. Particularly the current version.

That's because Activision allowed them to do. I tried to get a refund for Heroes VI and no luck with either Steam, who said to contact Ubisoft, and Ubisoft who said to talk with steam...

Interesting. On what basis did you request the refund?

I agree that Steam can see how long you've played it for so point 1 stands. Point 2 is contradicted by UK law. Distance Selling Regs state essentially that any non-custom item (e.g. a T-Shirt printed with your name on it) can be refunded within 7 days of purchase if bought "over distance". Steam games would fall under this law.

When PAYDAY 2 came out, many of the fans jumped at instant preorder.
Around 3-4 days later, they released a 4-pack. so many people got refunds in order to take advantage of the 25% off deal.
Everyone i know of managed to get a refund. Though sometimes they offered the chance to have it directly into bank / paypal. Others had it instantly added into the wallet.
I believe this is due to the level of employment, the support guy was.
Say, i got a refund, but it was instantly placed into my wallet. My support guy might not have the privileges to put it into a bank account. Whereas a more senior support guy may do.

way to go, might be time for me to move to the UK

I'm doing ok thanks. And yourself? I bought AC3 standard edition through the store, so they knew how much I paid for it and were able to re-inverse the money as wallet funds. I didn't ask them to give me wallet funds, but I did mention that I wanted to buy the deluxe edition off Steam.

I wonder why people even bought this abonimation of game at first place

I was trying to get my $4.99 back from Steam because I made the horrible mistake of buying the broken-ass PC port of Onimusha 3. The game is literally unplayable; characters walk around with no faces, the ground texture will pop in and out at random, the graphics options can't be adjusted at all (not that the game lacks graphics options, it's just that changing them does nothing), and the game will outright crash whenever I try to save. Steam basically told me that they don't provide refunds, and technical issues with the game aren't their problem, so I should talk to the publisher.

Well, a friend of mine gifted me Red Orchestra 2 while it was still in Pre-Order Open Beta.
It was utter and complete crap so I asked my friend to get a refund and get me something else for that kind of money. Steam actually pulled the game off my library, because it was still a closed beta and had not released. He got a full refund and with the exact same amount of money he got me the Call of Duty bundle that included every CoD up to World at War.
