When you first found SG, how did you think it worked?

I looked at the forum first thing. But then, I also had enough common sense that I didn't make a giveaway without thinking like some people.

As it does works.

I thought the copies came out of nowhere, but I didn't create any because I knew I was wrong and that was too good to be true.

Then I understood how it works.

I thought it was fake, because I mean free games, doesn't sound legit. But I asked people who told me it was legit, and my first win the same week proved to me that it was great.

I actually didn't know what to expect, learnt meanwhile about how it works.

I came to the site and realized that conceptually the site acted as a middle man and third parties instead of giving cd keys to friends could make lotteries to make anonymous people happy. So as it did work, don't know what is so hard to grasp even at first glimpse.

I read the FAQ right after joining, every new user should start with this.

FREE GAMES

I can't remember how I actually got to the site, but I did understand everything straight away. I don't understand how people can do it the wrong way around and create a giveaway and then think they will get the game. Maybe there should be a massive warning at the create giveaway page at the top stating it is expected that you are the person giving away the game and it cant be a game that you own in your library as those are already bound to your own account.

I was a bit skeptic about so many people just giving things away for free in special with all those fake sites around although later I noticed that the site was legit, I cant still believe how many games are given away, and I dont think I had problem in understanding how it works, its impressive how many people register and make giveaways for AAA games expecting people to join and have a chance to give them those games for free... even if you dont understand english it just requires a bit of common sense

I got here in beta. Everything seemed straight forward.

I miss when giveaways only had 200-300 entries max. ;-;

I thought, "Hey, I can get rid of these games I don't need!" and proceeded to make some giveaways. I already knew how the site worked before I joined and read the faq to see if there was anything else I needed to know.

I thought, that I can earn some money here. I thought that CV = earned money :-D So because I didn't read FAQ.

Then I found how it works and I started enjoy it :)

To me it was pretty self-explanatory from the very first day.

Joined when it was invite only, that was great. Understood how SG works right away pretty much.

Came here via invite almost two years ago.

I were lurking through forum-based ninja Giveaways, so I was already used to idea that ppl may give games away to strangers for free. And on one of these forums I found link to SG, so when I came here I pretty much already understood how it worked.

found it a kinda straight forward principle

I thought i only get points to enter giveaways by giving away games. This sounded like pretty boring trading and i quickly lost interest

I though that rich people make giveaways and poor people win them .

Nah, I figured out how SG worked right after trying to join for the first time (at the time, my library value was around $60).

I thought it was a fantastic place for people to gift away those extra games that family and friends don't want.

Imagine my surprise to discover some generous people actually PURCHASE games … with REAL MONEY … for the SOLE PURPOSE of gifting it away here to strangers! … ♥♥♥
