Is windows 10 fixed yet?

That depends on what exactly you mean with compatibility issues. There will be some old games & software that won't run in Win 10, much like there were older software & games that did not work in 7, XP, or Win 9X.

When it first came out, there were a couple issues. Not sure if it was the graphics driver or Win 10 itself, but the few issues I saw went away toward the end of last year with an update.

I've had a few games which were unhappy with 8.1. Many of those have the same issues with Win 10 but remarkably Win 10 fixed some of the ones which had problems for 8.1's duration.

I'm sure there will be a game here or there that will not work in Win 10 which did in 8.1, but overall, I find it better than 8.1.

Win 10 has been pretty stable for many months.

it got fixed the day it was released. i never had issues with it.

Installing it and getting it to work was a bitch for me (i think it was like 4 or 5 months ago, maybe more), but ever since i managed to get it to work i haven't experienced any issues

Hey guys, should I upgrade to Win 10 if my Win 7 works great and I'm used to it?

I'm using W10 for 8 months already. Not a single issue encountered. I think it's safe for you to try it =). Can't be worse than 8.

As best as I understand it many of the issues come from the upgrade process not from the OS itself so if you do get it try for a clean install instead of upgrade. And off course do make an image of the previous OS if you want to restore even if you go with upgrade since the restore function also seems problematic.

Upgraded 1 month ago and had some issues. After a clean install all went fine. Only my internet adapter is not officially compatible with win10 and it comes sometimes to internet crashes if i overload it ( with videos and downloads )

Windows 10 offers the best performance for gaming and is heaps better than Windows 8.1 (this is coming from someone that still uses it on my laptop). Compatibility issues can usually be solved pretty easily, and any issues I've run into were fixed with compatibility mode. Definitely get it, it's the best Windows out right now.

Edit: It won't be free for much longer so I would upgrade now and if you for some reason hate it then you can always downgrade

Only issue I got with Win10 is that it eats 400 ram more and for no reason at all games eat ~1GB ram less... Idk if anyone else noticed that anomaly xD

Installed Windows 10 on Day 1 it was released, never had any problems. Didnt even do a clean install.

You should never upgrade & you should keep making threads like these every two weeks because we never get tired of it.

Heh, it was way better than Win8.1 the day it came out. If you were on Win7, then it would be a more difficult decision. 8.1 → 10 = nobrainer.

Windows 10 is a nightmare of evil proportions.

It does however function fine as long as you let it do what ever it wants, when it wants. As soon as you try to push back and gain control again, even with 3rd party applications, it comes back at you and the nightmare returns.
If you are like most casual users who just let the OS do what it wants, then you should have no issues at all. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that you are in control.

I have no idea about compatibility issues, but one essential component of the operating system is incapable of being fixed, namely its ability to guarantee a relatively high degree of security and privacy from others (including government agencies). Given that I consider those conditions to be necessary for me to consider any operating system worthwhile to use for general purposes, I would strongly recommend avoiding Windows 10 indefinitely. If you are, for some inexplicable and deeply concerning reason, unconcerned about those privacy and security issues, then I hope that Microsoft has at the very least resolved its compatibility issues in Windows 10. Then again, perhaps it would be better for everyone involved if they never do.

Never had any issues with it at all. I installed it one or two months after release on my laptop and installed it a couple of months ago on my gaming pc (also got a new win 10 laptop half a year ago). I have not experienced any incompatibily issues (or any other issue).
