If you're looking for some retro dungeon-crawling madness to add to your Steam library, you've found it with Fanatical's latest 'Spotlight On...' bundle.
Β
Featuring eight games from indie publisher Black Shell Media, the Onslaught Bundle will see players transported into pixel-esque realms filled with ancient mysteries, hordes of enemies and the odd strategical revolution!
Β
Attempt to escape procedurally generated levels and fend off dark forces in action-adventure roguelike Dungeon Souls; see your turn-based dungeon crawling experience come to life in ASCII form with the humorous SanctuaryRPG: Black Edition; and try to spot your character among the mass amount of bullet fire and creepy creatures in action RPG Zombie Party.
Β
Live among prehistoric creatures and adapt to an ever-changing world in top-down survival sim DinoSystem; control of a Middle Eastern country recovering from a violent revolution in strategy sim Rogue State; and lead a brave knight from the depths of puzzle-based dungeons and slay fierce monsters in DungeonUp.
Β
Skeleton warriors and more ghastly beasts await you in the darkness in adventure RPG Castle Torgeath: Descent into Darkness - so prepare to scavenge for supplies and avoid deadly traps in order to make it out alive.
Β
For just $2.49, this is a collection of grand adventures, strategy and intrigue that you don't want to miss out on!

Wondering what games you already own from this bundle? There's an extension/UserScript for that! It's called the RaChartβ„’ Enhancer!

This script enhances the charts by showing you which games you already own from the ones in it. If you own it, the row will be highlighted with a green color.

Thanks to luckz for helping with the poll!

Dungeon-it-up or save your cash?

[Buy] I hope my mind's not in a Rogue State and I won't later regret the purchase.
[Split/Gifts] Some decent titles to share with friends or strangers.
[Have] A true Onslaught of rebundles.
[Skip] Some good review scores but nothing I'd want to play.

Hmm... Lately Fanatical hasn't really hit me... And this isn't doing it either...

Other than the Reaper bundle I kind of feel the same way. Someone tell Fanatical that more is not necessarily better. We don't need another site pushing out 3 bundles a week with questionable quality or appeal. They will just turn into Indie Gala (sans Happy Hour) at that point. More than ever the door has been open somewhat for them to dethrone Humble as bundle king but it doesn't seem like they really want it.

Reaper Bundle wasn't bad, but too little for me there too. Maybe I'm just at point where I own too many games ;D

I'm pretty sure they totally want to top Humble but it's not as easy as you might think. IGN maybe has the better connections to publishers.
But it's clear that they recently have problems obtaining fresh and tasty meat, neither Humble nor Fanatical can constantly serve us the best chops. Publishers and developers are obviously more reluctant in letting their games being bundled.

This might appeal to people who are hardcore about rogue-type games, but I'm not one of those people. The only game from this Onslaught bundle I've played is Dungeon Souls, which was worth beating the end boss at least twice on Normal, but was more dry and unrewarding for me after that.
Among the current Fanatical bundles, this is a distant third for me behind the Deception (already bought) and Reaper (might buy) bundles

Not a bad bundle at all but too many repeats for me to bite.

Mega rip-off in Australia: AUD$5.25!

Looks like they got their currency conversion wrong again. :-(

You don't have to buy it in AUD though, just purchase in USD.
