I got screwed over by that too. :( Worst thing is overwriting the wrong save-file in a game.

pretty sure that Civ V autosaves every 10 turns by default. It won't automatically load from an autosave though, so you have to specifically choose the autosave file when you load the game.

Call of duty 4 Veteran campaign: No fighting in the war room & mile high club.

After couple of tries (about 1 hour each fight) with difficult boss in The Last Remnant i finally managed to win but the game crashed before autosave :)

I suppose Mass Effect (1) raged me. I decided to just do a playthrough with my favorites. But for now reason, after a assignment (a side mission) Tali and Garrus would use sniper rifles. All the freakin' time. You would think Garrus would be decent with it, but I pumped most of the points assigned to weapons into his assault rifle. I reloaded and replayed a story mission (ignoring that particular assignment), but after a cut scene, I got the same problem. Only this time they switched to a pistol permanently.

Super Mario Bros. 4-1. Dying 30 times to the exact same spot is why my NES controller has eight-year-old me's teeth marks in it.

edit: that awkward feel when the thread screeches to a halt after you relate a story of biting a controller in frustration when you were a kid.
