So I was scammed a few minutes ago... it was a very cheap lesson for me... ($5.7) (I thought I was a smartass, but I got my lesson... I should be more careful)
But I just dont understand...
I mean "Really!!!" Is it worth it? Is it worth $5.7 to scam another? I mean how can human honor/self respect be so "cheap".
I always respects thieves / bandits... As they use the most expensive capital of all time... their lives... they took risks so they choose their targets carefully. It must be worth it... But scamming a steam user for 6 bucks /with no risk at all... and losing your self respect (if any)... I don't think it is worth it... What do you think?

A small "thanks" for your comments... a whitelist GA! Hope you dont have it...

You dumb... it is worth every penny. For even 1 cent If I am sure there is no way to be caught, I go for it. F..k self respect
For $5.7 .... No... may be for $570 ... that is good money... if the other part is dumb enough then they deserve it.
Not even for 5.7 million... I never risk my neck... and it is wrong on so many levels...
Karma is a bitch! Be careful...

They've got your $5.7 and your shit outta luck. They'll scam you for single cards because in the end it all adds up.

The scammer lost honour on the first scam, now it's just $5.7 more "rich" He probably spends all the day scamming people.
Probably could spend all day helping people (as a service) and earn aprox the same.

The chance to get something for "free" corrupts so many souls. Pretty much every human has the potential to succumb to this, albeit in varying degrees.

Oh believe me I know shit. (probably I only know shit...)
I hardly believe that workers with $5 salary would try to make their living in Steam trade scams...
if that is the case then my $5 is well spent...

Nope I am a man with two names "Ali Cem". (an old fart actually)
Although I believe in "positive discrimination" as I raised that way. Lately my wife changed my thoughts... Now I should say:
No. Scamming is a crime against human nature. It should not matter if it is a boy or a girl...
Thx for the comment though...

Always make sure to trust the person you're trading with that is not a scammer and has a good rep in his trading history. Never proceed without knowing if the trader is a scammer or not. Lesson learned I guess :)

Thats a bummer, I got scammed for $35. The guy bought the key from a site using a bad credit card. It went through and he traded me the game and then when the card was found to be bad, the game was removed from my library and I got no compensation for my loss. It really stunk and made me lose a bit of faith in trading with game keys.

that is exactly the same amount i got (paypal-)scammed once. paypal trades with low rep guys - something i will never do again. ^^

It always blew my mind how heartless people can be online just because they can get away with it. I would like to believe that Karma catches up eventually with everyone but as you get older you tend to see , even that isn't true a lot of the time. I guess such is life :/
I'm sorry that you got scammed but hopefully you have gained something positive from the experience.

i think lots of those scammers are little kids who don't have any money. 6$ means, they can buy a new game or something.

Don't you think it would be a good idea to post the scammer's Steam profile so everyone reading this could report him/block him?

noooo dont do it. don't listen to him. it's against the rules and they'll ban you from steamgifts if you do that :(

It sucks you got scammed. To you 5,7$ is not a lot, but after he scams 100 people for 5,7, that's 570$. I hope you reported him to Steamrep, so that other people don't get fooled by him :).

Well, I got scammed twice in one day :D
Opened a chest on Gameminer and got Dead Bits (which is a scam, it is a free game and it's not even advertised on the list of obtainable games)
Later that day, some guy scammed it from me xD

doing dumb things is okay in my book, as long as it does not involve destroying things (that you don't own) and littering.

I feel sorry for you. I've only been scammed once: traded a bunch of games for a game collection - that soon after vanished from my inventory. luckily the trade was done through the Steam trading window, so Steam support restored the games I had lost in the trade ... after a few weeks of writing forth and back.
