I rather not have any at all really.

It's a pretty stupid system imho

Just ignore it?

EDIT: As much I'm aware of the controversies around CV systems but it works fine for me. I mostly used it to filter out leechers/freeloaders from my giveaways. I think you should have explained why it's stupid according to you.

Absolutely. Don't give away any games. If you do, only giveaway bundle games.

Only enter Giveaways that require 0 CV and only create ones that require 0 CV.

You have essentially opted yourself out of the cv system.

+1, If you don't like it, don't use it. Ignore all the required CV giveaways.

You seem to be doing a good job so far, not putting CV on your giveaways. That's as far as opting out can get. (Well, I'm not entering giveaways at all, which is a further step, but I won't suggest that.)

If you use SG+, there are filter options marked "Show Green" (contributor giveaways which you have the CV to enter) and "Show Red" (contributor giveaways which you don't have the CV to enter). If you uncheck both of these boxes, you will not see any giveaways with CV. Additionally you can make your giveaways with 0 CV requirement, but that's already been said.

I'm just curious on why do you think it's a stupid system?

To me it's not perfect, but it's better than not having it. Look at Galagiveaway for example. There is no CV type system there. Most of the giveaways there are all lower tier bundles.

You're confusing the CV system with the bundle treatment.

The CV system was created to encourage people to give away more games. The way bundles are treated was a change to allow bundled games to be posted (they weren't allowed before that, but people posted them, which was a hassle for support) while trying to make sure they don't take over the site.

Regardless with the bundle system was in place. The guy wants to opt out of the CV system ans wants it removed. And looks what happens to a giveaway site without it. Galagiveaway. Even GameMiner have a system with their giveaway tiers. Compare what is offered there and Gala.

That's a result of the bundle system, though. If bundles had their full value then it would have worked like other sites. Also the system before CV, which disallowed bundle games, was even more strict. In not way is the reduction in bundle games a result of the CV system.

Gala Giveaways does have an equivalent of the CV system, encouraging giveaways by awarding point for them. That's purely what the CV system does, encourage giveaways.

CV system is the result of arduous work by SG people to counteract certain less-than-stellar attitudes from certain users... it's not perfect but it ain't stupid either.
