Non activation of wins?

Had a purge of my blacklist and removed everyone a few months ago. Added someone recently who still had my gift in their inventory weeks after winning the game.

I noted they didn't say thank you when entering or receiving the gift either, and as Steam automatically adds people who receive gifts to the senders friends list it would have been easy to say something in Steam chat or on SG itself. Instead they removed me from their friend list without saying anything. Normally wouldn't wouldn't blacklist for that, but would consider it poor manners not to say thank you for winning and it was an extra thing on top. They're also a big leech (I usually don't even look at that), and appear to camp on a particular forum thread where lots of private giveaways happen and their lack of comments (including forum comments) indicate they don't participate, they just want to take.

Your list is too short :D The amount of possible reasons is almost limitless. Seriously talking, it might help some people to understand SG better. Happy Holidays, wany!

The only 2 reason that will get you in my blacklist
-Being rude and insult others
-Making fake giveaway and I won it

Generally I've never actually blacklisted a single person since I've been on Steamgifts. Not sure if it's dumb luck or I'm too nice dunno. Normally the community is rather nice to me.

Not sure If i'm blacklisted by anyone myself.

• 30 People blacklist because they just like to blacklist and/or for the fun and/or they think blacklisting gives them power and superiority over other users and/or it's a means for belittling (new) users.

• 18 B Very bad Public giveaway/Private giveaway ratio

Bump with the same reason as number 26.

About 99% of my blacklist is from #1 alone.

I am just waiting for a chance to use this gif - without any success so far :(

Merry Christmas! And I have never blacklisted anyone - I always (maybe a little naive) believe, that people are good and they simple have sometimes a worse day:)

Bumping for good info, wany, since this topic does come up a lot.

I never intended to use the blacklist feature, but when I came across an ungrateful winner who was publicly rude and disrespectful, and literally cursed out the giveaway creator here in the forums for trying to add him on steam to deliver the gift, I was just shocked. (He was permanently banned shortly afterwards, so my blacklist is currently empty again.)

On a more positive note, though... happy holidays! :D

have a bump for awesome list because most normal people can't even get close to figure out someone else's randomness!

I shouldn't have to thank the person I won a game from. I should thank the person for giving me the opportunity to have a chance at winning the game, but the RNG receives the thanks for picking me out of all entries.
The main takeaway from this list (which is pretty comprehensive): Be a person (i.e. read and care) - People are spiteful (so don't be a person to those people lest you be removed from their list of persons).
