I didn't win in a 9 entries giveaway

Lost one with 4 entries once.

Neither did 7 other people.....there is always someone who does not win, even in a 2 entry.

countless 2 entries giveaways + few giveaways where i had ~80% chance to win

The second winner of that 9-entry giveaway found out he was ineligible and had me reroll.

Of course, that means you just lost a 9 entry, an 8 entry AND a 7 entry giveaway all in less than 24 hours.

I lost the 50000 copy of Dwarfs giveaway on my birthday this year (yeah I'm born on 1st Jan). Had a 50% chance of winning and I didn't get it.

I did win Sanctum on the same day though. Lucky me.

Also lost a giveaway with 2 entries, but first winner was ineligible so I won. :)

I lost 5 entry giveaway with 2 copies of the game.

Sometimes I didn't even win 2 entries giveaway lol. It's all about luck.

my worst was 5 entries, twice - little inferno and x-com enemy unknown

I lost out on a 3 copy giveaway that had 4 entries a little while ago.

i have 3 group giveaways 2 with 7, 2 with 5 and 1 with 3 entrys.

My worst was out of 2 entries. I was pretty sad.

Once I lost a giveaway with 50% chance of winning and one with 40% chance of winning within a minute of each other.

Once lost a 15 copy giveaway that had 16 entries

I've lost a 5 entry giveaway with 2 copies, a 7 entry - 3 copies giveaway, and a 6 entry giveaway with 4 copies. For 2 entry giveaways specifically, I've lost 4, but luckily won 6. The giveaway I lost with the highest win chance of 84.06% was a 25,000 copy giveaway, with 29,740 entries for Galactic Arms Race.

I spent 40 minutes just looking through my old entries for these stats. Darn you for asking this question, and darn me for looking it up in 362 pages of giveaways.

Well, in my lifetime I've never won an actual coin flip... :-[

I've lost at least 4 times in a Bastion giveaway with <5 entries

this one time I hosted a giveaway for myself and lost....

I hate my life....

I've lost 2-, 3-, and 4-entry giveaways. I even lost the Galactic Arms Race giveaway, with 25,000 copies and 29,740 entries.

I like math, so I made a few calculations. If there were 9 people entering the giveaway, than at least 8 failed to win this game. (possibly more, because someone might wanted to join giveaway, but he missed it or run out of points) This gives you a 88,9% chances to fail to win this giveaway.

What's more interesting I also calculated that 100% of people who joined the giveaway or replied in this topic will eventually die.

Math is fun, isn't it?
