I always use iTunes on PC, and it never downloaded that U2 album, I guess because I'm not logged into with the Apple ID.

There was recently a thread here about removing regularly acquired games from your own Steam Library. Make what you want of this information.

Not interested personally. But people complaining about free stuff.... Meh...
Come on, it doesn't even take hardware space.

I was surprised when I first saw an album I never bought appear in my library, I was honestly worried that I got hacked and someone spent some of my iTunes store balance...

besides that, I'm not interested in the music and I'm glad they are doing something to keep it from showing up in the library, I like being able to play random on my entire library and enjoy whatever comes up. they should have just made it free on the store and let people navigate to the store page and add it to their libraries if they wanted it

My thoughts:
1) It's free, cool!
2) U2 seems to have a lot of haters, and I may not be a huge fan, but I did like a song they did for a movie soundtrack (I think it was The Hands that Built America on the Gangs of New York DVD). So yeah, I don't mind it being added at all; I might even like it.

must be dumb to use a tool to remove an unwanted album when you can simply delete it with a few clicks... @_@

It's easy to delete manually, I'm not sure why there was a need for a tool except the fact that most people are much dumber than they think they are.

Compared to U2's earlier stuff this new album is pish.

I don't like U2 or iTunes, but I do have it installed for syncing my iPod. I don't have the album though because I don't sign in to the store ever.

Not a fan of U2, but this is just stupid.
I use Google Play Music, and they tend to give out free songs pretty often, but they do it in a much better way, you just click on the store, and download the free song from there.
How did apple not think of this wizardry?
