Hey guys, (skip near the bottom if you can't be bothered reading and are willing to help!)

I am currently taking 'Design & technology' as one of my subjects at school,
in conjunction with a product i am designing as part of this subject, i would like to conduct a very short survey to gather some basic information in order to further develop a product i am making and how viable it would be
if i were to theoretically release it into the market. It would be very helpful if you were
able to answer these four simple questions with a comment below.

For those who are intersted, I am currently attempting to create a product which limits the movement of the wire which is connecting the 3.5mm jack to the rest of the wire. Why do this? The most common problem both my friend and I share, is that for some reason no matter how much due care we take, with frequent use the earphones wires seem to constantly frey inside. So i will be attempting design a product which basically holds these two components together without damaging either component. But first I need to gather information as to whether making such a product would benefit anyone. Would anyone buy it?

a) Do you use headphones/earphones while taking public transport? If so what type? (bus, train, light rail etc)

b) Have you ever broken your headphones/earphones? If so where did it break?
(example: 'I broke it near the wire which connects to the 3.5mm jack', or 'i broke it near the wire which is connected to the speaker of my earbud' or 'I snapped the wire completely')

c) Do you take good care of your earphones/headphones?

d) Would you purchase invest in a relatively cheap product which could prolong the life of your headphones/earphones?

a) Yes. Headphones.
b) Yes. The left channel just stops playing properly. The latest and weirdest one, the right channel stopped working! :o
c) Kind of... 8 months life is good, right? XD
d) Depends on how much it would cost, and depending on how proven the product is on prolonging its life.

b) Yes, my earphones always break at the exact point you mention.
c) Yes, I take good care of everything, but everything still breaks eventually.
d) Yes, though then again, not if I can just get a new pair of earphones for a cheaper price.
