if you live near San Diego/LA area or are willing to travel, judging by your profile.
id suggest checking out Craiglist.
you can always find excellent & better deals where people are looking to part with items due to needing to move quickly & needing the cash.
especially during summer time when everyone is strapped for cash.
my roommate has been lucky in buying a PC this way & needing to upgrade to a better one.

no. that is an APU. if anything youd have to go VERY low

Comment has been collapsed.

based on the 7660G you should get around 25-30 fps on low on blands 2

40 on bioshock inf low, 20 on med.

40 on batman on low, 30 on med.

Borderlands 2 should run with performance tweaks easily, Fallout 3 I guess it could be ok, and for the rest as long as you have DX10 and above and of course on low settings.

Go. I don't know how accurate they are, but they're pretty good for a rough look at how powerful a PC is.

That laptop isn't very good for gaming. NotebookReview has benchmarks for Bioshock Infinite and Borderlands 2 for the graphics card it has. It can only handle Bioshock Infinite. Basically, there's a good chance any new games won't run, and if they will, not too smoothly. Gaming on a laptop isn't cheap. I spent $1600 on an amazing gaming laptop (which I do love), but I wish I had just built a desktop and bought a tablet. Probably would have saved a couple hundred too.

30 fps average isn't great. Most games are aiming for 60 nowadays. I used to have a low end laptop, and played at around 30 fps, and now that I can see what 60 fps is like, I hate it when anything drops past 40.

What I usually do is youtube gameplay videos made with the same hardware and google benchmarks. It seems fine. People playing BL2 with decent FPS.

I wouldn't spend $500 for that. Save up $200-$250 for a decent laptop with a 750m.

You'd really really have to be in love with laptops to get it instead of a desktop for the same amount of cash (for gaming). A desktop would preform so much better. Maybe it will run these games but it will be crying while doing it and the plastic case will boil due to the heat coming off of the cpu.

20-30 fps is not for gaming. Get a Desktop PC or save more money.

APU are good and efficient solutions in laptops for non-gaming activities... But they does NOT handle games. You'd better save some more money, then buy a real desktop.

this is essentially the laptop I have:P
I can run everything just as long as you turn some stuff down:P
I played Bioshock on around mid, same with borderlands, Fallout however I can play on High.
So yeah; it's a good laptop:P

It's not going to be great for gaming, no.

As in, it'll probably run them, but either at low settings or medium settings and low frame-rate.

No, don't get it. You'll probably get around 30FPS or lower playing Bioshock Infinite on low.

You won't get 30 fps on low in Bioshock Inf, if you take a look at Muh's link above you'll see it's not even capable of 30 fps in Skyrim. If it's isn't capable of getting 30 fps+ in Skyrim you definitely won't get 30+ in Bioshock Inf.

You'll get less than 30 fps in most of those games you listed even on low, which is pretty much unplayable.
