Every laptop I've owned so far has ended up with a broken video card within a year. Maybe that's just me, but thought that might be worth considering.

There are so many people here implying that you need some omg wtf laptop to be able to play a game that's few years old...

1.30fps it is play-able, in fact if it doesn't looks like a slide-show it's still play-able.
2.You play a game to learn the lore&story of that game or you play it for pretty graphics? Yeah...this is why i don't like this call of duty generation.

I played doom2, i played prince of persia (the 2d one), i played morrowind and so many old games. I didn't gave a s*** about the graphics, i had fun, i really enjoyed those games, for the story, not for the fact that i didn't even knew what's a fps.

Now most of you just want to brag and measure your e-peens by complaining about fps and stuff like this. Grow UP!
You play a game for the story. You play to have fun. If the game runs in a non-slideshow manner, it's play-able, and that laptop can run any game mentioned in a decent way.

Look man, I love a good story as you do, but we love graphics because it's just so beautiful.

for me 30 fps+ is playable

Played most of AC series with <20 fps. It's not a big deal if you get used to it. If you ever have to play at the frame rate you will understand. Plus I doubt you can tell the difference between 30 and 45 fps.

Just get a desktop. A good gaming pc isn't worth it. You'd just have to buy a completely new one in a couple of years.

Lol, shouldn't it be the other way around? Use the pc to game and the laptop to do all the other stuff.

It should be using the laptop to do stuff on the toilet.

It should be able to handle games on low settings so it seems fine for that, however I strongly recommend saving for a desktop as well

It should be good and be able to play most games at low resolution keeping a 30+ fps

You'll be able to play them at lowest settings, but trust me those games suck with low settings.

AMD laptops have a tremendous track record for overheating. Either find an Intel equivalent, or get a cooling pad of some sort.

Just wait and buy a desktop, i used to think like you thinking 30 fps on low was fine, now i don't even wanna drop below 45 and i always like to play with higher than the highest available graphics. Trust me a nice desktop is worth it.

I would not even waste my time good gaming laptops are expensive, this isn't good and if he doesn't want a desktop he is shit out of luck unless he wants to pay about 2 grand

You should get more than 30 FPS in most games on low/medium settings like I do with a worse laptop.
My specs:
Intel Core i5 M480 2.66 GHz Dual-Core
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
4GB Ram
However AMD processors have problems with heating and they can reach very high temperatures.I would suggest you to prefer an intel processor.

awesome

would a cooling pad do the trick 4 overheat?

What he said about AMD overheating is rubbish, they overheat the same amount as intel cpus, just be mindful of the surface its on and use a cooling pad if you're going to be gaming for awhile.

It's a medium range laptop, you can run games well I think, but on low/medium settings.

Ok,i am going to say something now that probably some people will be against it,but never buy a system that has AMD proccessor. If you let that besides, the laptop is kinda weak, and expensive in my opinion. With that Quad Core and video you can barely play...Dota 2 at medium or minimum settings.

Look for something with a 7670m or something, should be able to find something with that around that price, and it performs way better.

It really depends from country to country. Saw a lenovo with 7670m and and AMD APU somewhere, maybe look for that one?

The new laptop has a graphics card that is 3x better then the 210M, so I would say it should have a huge impact on gameplay maybe medium to high very on all those games. depending on the resolution.

Do you game away from home often? If not, a desktop is a more cost efficient choice for your gaming needs.
I wouldn't get that laptop since I am pretty sure you could get something better for that amount of money, especially on Craigslist (personal experience).

a desktop would have more ram... i think and it would run the games faster than a laptop could.
