is it worth waiting for GtA 5 to on sale or to buy now?

That's entirely up to you, I'm sure most people would think the game is at least worth the $50 or whatever you can get it for on some sites. Might be a bit before any kind of big sale though.

If the Cake is a lie and the cake is on steamgifts... Does that mean that the steamgifts is a lie? and what if it is a POTATO cake? Is the potato a lie too?

I'd say it's very probable we'll see a 15-20% sale this Summer. It's up to you if you want to wait or buy it now.

I'd say is very probable we will see 0% discount on GTA V this summer.

Most fresh AAA games released somewhat before the seasonal sales start at -10% and maybe have a -25% daily. In case of GTA V maybe it will go only as far as -15%, but it will most likely have some discount.

It really depends if R* are cooking more single-player DLCs or not.

If they do, it might be a clever thing to put game on large sale then announce DLCs, so people who still didn't bought game won't decide "-75% GOTY edition, here I come".

GotY 75% in like 2-3 years

Well, it's not like they are in any hurry. Already waited 2 years, already got 90% of important content spoilered, they can wait 2 more years - they might even forget some of that stuff in a meantime :P

I'm pretty sure it will get a small sale this summer (20-25%) just so it doesn't stand out next to the crowd of 50-80% on other games

Sure it's worth, if you have the patience. It'll be on 75% sale eventually.

Yea, $20 GTA5, while there will be freshly released GTA VII for $120...

Well, I'm playing GTA: SA at the moment, so what difference would there be? GTA IV stutters horribly on my laptop and I don't even have the hard drive space for V

True that. It just depends, on what you want to play (can afford) at this moment - brand new game or nice and old Vice City

It varies. Failures like Duke Nukem Forever get price drops and big sales real quick. Games that are selling really well without a sale don't. I can't see GTA V getting any big sales anytime soon, so I guess it depends on how badly you want it.

when the sales are starting?

They usually start in the middle of June. They may do a one- or two-week pre-sale thing where the cards go live and the list of weekly sales increase though, but the proper sale event itself usually starts around the second full week of June.

It's more like July then June - they moved DOTA2 finals to August just to have clear July for Summer Sale Madness.

It used to be June recently, AFAIK, to make it an even distance from the all-December winter sale. Strange that they moved it back to the old July slot.

Last year it was in June because they screwed up with DOTA2 and pushed Sales much sooner.
Quick search shows they never started with any regularity, but most of times they happened in July.

I wonder if they have some inner knowledge about Summer Sale dates or is that just guessing.

Because it's easy to guess when "Halloween Sale", "Black Friday Sale" and "Xmas Sale" happen, but there's no regularity about Summer Sales.

I think it's really likely that GTA V will be on sale for at least 10% off during the Summer Steam Sale. Considering that its already been out on 360, PS3, PS4, and Juan for a while, I'd imagine that everyone who's willing to pay full price has already done so by now. Doing a 10% discount will certainly do a lot to energize those sales.

Price already dropped after the release and you can get it for 40something on G2A.
Wait a month or two and you'll save a lot. When you're impatient and wealthy go for it you rich dirtbag. :D
