Monster capture games on Steam ?

This one you don't necessarily capture, but you find summon stones in chests. Once summoned you do train them up. And your main hero is basically a weakling until you gather enough stat boosting items.

hey, quick note, it's ooblets, not sure why the name says ooblits even tho the url is correct. I've been following this one since announced. Hope they take as much as they need, style seems interesting and they made a few changes so lets see how it turns out.
Not quite the same, but don't forget about animal crossing, harvest moon and similar. There was one for GBA which could not find nor remember the exact name, but anyways those are more the farmer/sim type not quite fighting you're looking for, sorry.

Edit:there was one for SEGA, there was djinns that allow you the char to use powers, like freeze water, levitate boulders, etc, I can't quite remember the name, I'm thinking shining force but that's probably another title. There was also another one which allowed your crew members to fuse in chambers, aka dragon ball ones. Still, not what you're looking for, not in Steam either. sigh
Edit: Remembered one more, but it's for the PS2 I think, google it and tell me if it doesn't fit the list! Rogue Galaxy! it's rpg, customize chars, make/smith weapons, capture insects with bait/lure in cages and make them fight, level up and even mate! oh boy it's a huge game! wish they make a HD remake in PC, I'd play it for ages!
