The olympics have started! And what better way to celebrate coming together than taking a train through the history of poster art from the Olympics. I've gathered up posters from all olympic events and offered my comments on them for a total of 52 stops and 88 images.

Do you want to make the train even more awesome? Leave factoids, personal opinions, challenge my critiques and above all, correct me if I've made any errors!

Take a ride on the olympic train!

Thanks for all the factoids, feedback and response. I'm slowly going through all your comments. First time I've "broken the meter":

Don't you just hate it when you intend not to learn stuff, and yet you do! ;)

Naw, I actually love it. That time it was me joking. It happens a lot. It is refreshing to come across someone who puts a lot of time into compiling information and making personal comments about it, presents it to public eyes, and is not only comfortable with discussion, clarification, addition, debate, but actually encourages it to the point of asking for it.

none of the events I watch are being shown in Australia this Olympics - Channel seven is really annoying me this year :(

Sweden has a bit of a similar problem, the rights were bought up by a network that not everyone has.

Hah - we actually won a medal in one of the events they refused to televise - $10 says next Olympics they will show it lol.

If the world's gonna end, at least make it end with a carnival of women in thongs dancing samba!

I still haven't seen it. :( Just got home from a wedding, which meant I couldn't stay up last night watching it. And now I'm too drunk to appreciate (stay awake) it. Will have to try and find a source where I can watch it tomorrow.
