I have an Intel core i5 5200u, 8GB ram and a nvidia geforce GT 840M (4gb vid memory)
Windows 10, 64 bit..

But im not sure since my cpu is almost always the bottlenech and im not sure if it can handle this game...
Does someone know if I can run it? does someone have similair specs and played ark before?

Ive tried Can I run it.. and it says yes, but I hear sometimes its not always good..
But it runs gta 5 and battlefield 4 on normal settings (somethings high) at 30-40 fps
(sorry for my bad english)

You can refund it if you bought it through steam and if it does not run, so just go ahead and try.

An u model runs low clocked.. And its just a dualcore... The 840 as far memory serves me right still still runs on ddr3 but its a maxwell variant albeit a lowly one. I still think the game runs decent on fullhd though no AA and medium settings at best.

So u say it must be playable with anti aliasing turned off with medium settings or? I just want to know if its playable at low settings and if its possible medium settings

Thats what i think, 1920x1080, no AA but medium settings should run fine - but then its just an assumption based on general game reqs not this on special... yet i haven't heard that its the new crysis eigther :)

Alright i've just had a glimps on steam comments and it seems indeed its a pretty unoptimized & resource heavy title so far... so expect it to run borderline to unplayable at times..

"CPU:Intel i5 3470 4*3,2 GHz
GPU: Radeon HD7870 2GB (note: thats around a Radeon R9 270X, rated at 290% 3dcenter.org ranking)
RAM: Kingston Hyper X 1600 8GB (...)

He complains that although he has a good mainstream gaming rig that it generally runs the game pretty slow on high details and most importantly unreliable. Means he enounters more often than not slowdowns even present on low settings.

Your hardware is considerably inferior. CPU power is likely at 60% of the given system of the commentor. I still think the cpu should be able to handle the load yet high details are out of question. But your GPU is more the bottleneck. Its a multimedia one and not very well suited for games (rule of thumb: cards with dedicated vram consisting of gddr5 are the rest not). Think it should be rated be rated at around 100% (3dcenter index) that means its just at 1/3 of the 3d power of the system above. Go for low details.

Because the game is still in early access, it's not fully optimized, so you will be expecting bad - ok graphics and gameplay.

Well, i have bought Ark Survival Evolved yesterday and refund my money back. My pc is Intel Core i5 2500k 3.3ghz, GTX 960 OC 4gb, 8gb ram. And i want to say that it's difficult to play with 15-30 fps sometimes even lower than 10fps. I think it's better to buy this game when it gets more optimised. Sorry for my english, guys.

What setting were you using?

I have tryed play on all settings. But i stay on medium-epic. I set everything on medium, only view distance set on epic. Fraps show me, like i say higher - 15-30 fps. In empty spaces, of course, much better. But i think it's problem in my processor. So i recommend to wait some time until optimisation increases.

Mind to tell you that the view distance to max means at least the terrain taxes your gpu to the fullest. How about looking for a setting slider to adjust vegetation levels and set those to a min. This is at least the 2nd most important slider to switch in Witcher3 (after disabling Hairworks). But its awful to hear that a 200€ gpu cannot handle the game easily on high settings :|

If that thing runs on his multimedia graphics Intel HD 4000, it will for sure run on your GPU, but idk at what frame rates and resolution he plays.

You CAN run it, at lowest settings and resolution. I'd suggest to not buy it, your processor will just make it run even worse.

Comparison to the macbook pro's graphic card (guy above).

However I'm a guy who needs to have his games run at constant 60fps.

you should be able to run it, but it's an extremely frustrating game. Also, on the server I was on, the people their aren't very helpful when I asked questions....I prolly won't be playing much of it anymore.

You can run it, that's for sure! But I don't know if you can run it with high settings, 'cause the game is really heavy on graphics...

I have the game, and I play it on my Intel i5 2500k (slightly overclocked), 8Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 560Ti. I usually run at minimum just to make sure my fps keep high.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure you can run it with your config! :)

Since you're on a laptop, what's your native resolution? If it's 1366x768 or something similar, lower than Full HD, then that might actually save you a few frames (if the game supports your resolution). But since the game seems to be a real hardware eater... I think I wouldn't even try.
