error adding friend. please try again?

Like what the title Implies I'm having trouble adding someone on steam. I'm haven't reached my friends limit and I've restarted both steam and my computer. If anyone can help me out, that would be great!

I too get this when trying to re-add a friend, but I believe what's causing it, is that he blocked me.

So you're saying that he might have blocked me and now i can't add him as a friend? Maybe, but i don't know about that.

I had this problem once. Try blocking the user then unblock them. Worked for me.

I tried the block/unblock technique, but it doesn't seem to work. :(
