Just read the stickys what VAC is. You need to be connected to a vac secure game with a running cheat. Unlocking achievements with SAM wont get you banned,its just stupid in general.

Keep in mind that accounts got closed for abusing SAM on events like winter holiday or summer camp.

Not sure what you're talking about. You'll get a vac ban if you play multiplayer on a vac protected server and use a hack to cheat (typing something into the in-game console is not a hack).

Wait, it's your friends account, but you ask if something could happen to it if YOU cheated with it? Why would you even want to?

On TF2 there are some servers in which you could use some commands to unlock some achievments. I did it when I started on Steam 5 years ago ( yes, I was young and idiot) and din't got banned.

I used it once to lock all the TF2 achievements again after I joined some friend on a modded server.
