So I was browsing G2A when I stumbled upon a product that said "1 random steam game", here's the link (no ref, so don't worry) http://www.g2a.com/1-random-steam-cd-key.html/

Then proceeded to check their website, seems interesting, but fishy at the same time, what do you think? Have you bought from here?

I dunno, there was a guy posting a ref link from there earlier today. Said he got like 30 euros worth of games for 5, but wouldn't say what any of them actually were. People were saying it was free indiegala shit and stuff like that

Let us know what you get if you do try it out though :P

A couple of friends tried it and only got freebies... maybe someone will get a AAA game, but 1 of 1000?

This is the typical shit lots of resellers do, I see it a lot on Russian resellers, pay "X money and get 1 game ranging from Super Meat Boy to Battlefield 3" and obviously the highest chance is to get some bundle game or game that was given for free.

I say don't bother. And g2a is not selling it cheap, like some Russian stores do, for like less than a dollar.

I would rather buy 2 Humble Bundles at the lowest price tier and know exactly what I am getting.

2€? You can get wonderful games in Steam sales (or Nuuvem, GMG, GG, etc) for that price, so you'd better save it for later. ;-)

Well it seems to me that it's just like you get on a lot of those mobile games with their cash stores - buy a box and you don't know what's in it. There's a chance to get the really good stuff but no where does it tell you what that chance is and they only advertise the best games, you don't know what the crap ones are.

Whilst I'm sure some people may pay $8 and get $30+ of games, I'm sure there are plenty more who pay $8 and get utter rubbish!

Personally I hate these types of lottery systems. I like to know exactly what I am spending my money on.

If it was from the GabeN himself I would give it a spin and happily loose a dollar over some game I would not buy otherwise.

As a latent gambler, I also tend to buy Magic the Gathering booster ~twice a year, the last time I got a UW fetch land.

I wouldn't use it unless I had a shitload of money that I don't care about. I know this from fashion brands that sell "mystery boxes" or something like that. Basically those were clothes from old collections that they still had lying around and this was their way of getting rid of 'em so those games will most likely be worthless.

Bought 5x of them, I received 4 games worth 0.00EUR (freebies from indiegala/bundlestars) and 1 game worth 0.99. Never again. They are known scammers as history has shown they sell stolen keys, yet the site still exists.. Which again is very fishy.

I read that a lot of people got 1 euro games that where previously free and also some got currently very cheap (in cents) games. So unless you was very very very lucky the chance that you will get a good random key is really rare.

I got the 5 games pack some time ago these are the games I got from it: Dodge, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky, Worms Crazy Golf, Alien Breed Trilogy, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.

I would say the chance for a good game is really low if not nearly impossible (even through I did want Chivalry but I still haven't played it)

Tried it twice and think i know how it works.

It price matches against your total spending and uses that as the upper limit on the value of the key.
