It's all about randomness.Took more than 800 entries to killingarts to win and if i remember well it took more than 2000 entries before i win.
You could enter 10 000 giveaway and never win anything just as you could win 100/10 000.

giveaways entered 512... the more you give, more chances to win (as you can start joining groups and your chances grow)

Don't enter for giveaways to win "a single poopy game". because then you'll be disappointed that you only won that one. The best thing to do is you always enter for everything you want to win, preferably good games. Then you expect not to win them, so you won't be sad that you don't win. Do this for enough time and once out of the blue sky you'll win a giveaway for a game you really wanted :)

Yeah, got my first win after like 1500 entries. It definitely helps being a higher level, but there's no guarantee.
You should also join Unlucky 7, you're eligble to and you will have a much higher chance of winning there.
