@ Voho: Already did that.
@ Incoq: Haven't thought about that. Doing right now.
Thank you! ^^

Yeah, no problems.
I contacted both Steam and SG support. I got an e-mail from Steam saying that they'll answer my ticket via mail.

So, you say that if I show Steam support the giveaway link, I'll get my acc back?
Comment has been collapsed.
Maybe is because Steam couldn't recieve the payment, and as I was the owner of the game when it was deleted, I got my acc banned...

Take a look here:
What if a game I received in a trade is fraudulently purchased?
If this happens, the account where the fraud took place will be suspended. Your account will not be suspended, however the game you received will be removed from your account. We will do our best to restore the items/gifts that were associated with the trade back to you. Please contact Steam Support if a game that you traded for is missing from your inventory or account.

What ever happens, your account should be safe if you got that game through Steam Trade :)

Actually, I can't believe I missed that :O
But, anyways, it was gifted :P

that's why keys aren't to be gifted you get a steam trade they can trace it back. But it sounds like he was sharing his account. b/c if you log into steam with one ip then the other is asked for a code. Only way his brother would be able to get into his account is if he gave him the code, then done.

Oh, don't worry... The only thing I want is to get my acc back! Meanwhile, I'm playing some games at kongregate.com xd

VBA, even my account was suspended for five days at one point. It was only a few weeks ago. I really hope you get your account back and running soon, I know how you feel. Please update the mods if they ever give you a reason why your account was suspended.

Oki ^^
Well, I'm really mad because I've just bought the IR bundle :/ Also, that means no TF2 T^T
Anyways, I promised to keep this thread updated with any news about Steam support

Why would a Steam account get suspended?

Indeed... I gotta say, Steam is weird though.
They apparently want gifts to be able to be traded with anyone as they implemented the virtual items for games trade system. On the flip side they have that statement you quoted in their knowledgebase where it says don't receive gifts unless you know the person. Makes no sense.

I'm going to type in my native language so don't be angry guys for you will not understand :)

"Redeeming Fraudulent Gifts
Never accept a gift from an unknown user. Any accounts tied to a redeemed gift from a fraudulent source may be suspended."

Is Steamgifts "responsible" for it, no. However, I'm sure they'll do what they can to help.
From the Steamgifts FAQ:
Will I get in trouble using this? / Is this against Steam's TOS?
" If any concerns were to arise, we would be more than happy to reach out to Valve, and do our best to address these issues, helping them understand the winners have no connections with the users providing the games. "

@densorteslyngel And apparantly you're a 12 year old frustrated kid who can't read. Steam's TOS specifically say that trades won't get your account suspended, gifts will.
**Warning:
Never accept a gift from someone you do not know.
Additionally, do not pay someone to gift a game to you.
**
And btw congrats guys on getting your accounts back.

Hello Toon,
Thank you for contacting Steam Support.
We are investigating this issue further. As soon as we have more information, we will update your ticket.

Hello Toon,
This account has been disabled as a gift subscription that you recently accepted in your account has been reported as fraudulent. The subscription has been removed.
We will make an exception and reactivate the account this time only. Please refrain from accepting Steam gifts from unknown sources in the future. Valve reserves the right to refer the matter to the appropriate authorities if such activity continues.
The Steam Subscriber Agreement can be found at:

damn so it was the gift :( , this is disturbing.
i hope the guy who sent the gift to you is banned, regardless of whether it was his fault or not , without strict actions this will happen only more

Sounds to me like from Valve's perspective, we are all taking a serious gamble if we accept gifts from these giveaways. Do you think you'll continue entering giveaways here?

Aren't you the one who sent the gift?
Confusion is all I feel

Well, I was REALLY happy when I saw that I won my first giveaway. The game was LIMBO...
But now, I'm really angry!
My account got suspended! And LIMBO is not on my games anymore!
If you want links, here I give you the giveaway and my profile links:
Can anyone give me some tips or tell me what should I do now?
EDIT: here's a pic of the gift's email http://i41.tinypic.com/6pstj8.jpg
New edit: I have my acc back! Thank you all for your support, but I'll tell you what Valve tells me now after the mail I sent to them.
