Makes noises while talking?
Your professor is Michael Jackson.

If you can't understand the teacher, it's not "dropping out like a wuss" it's paying somebody who can't do their job. The more students who drop a teacher's class, the worse the teacher looks. And if it's before the drop deadline, dropping a class doesn't effect your GPA and you can add into another Math class by a different teacher.
Continuing to attend his class is like paying somebody to clean your bathroom when all they do is piss all over everything, your bathroom might be clean, but it smells like piss and you never want to go in there.
Edit: and before you give me that whole "well all the other classes are full" line, crash classes. You said the semester started last tuesday, people will drop from classes and spots will open. If you can show the teacher that you are willing to put in the work, they'll add you (if they don't already have a wait-list a mile long)

Yeah, I hate foreigner teachers too. Like this one asshole who I think came from outer space. He talks with a computer installed in his wheelchair and he looks kind of sick. I wonder if his species isn't well adapted to our atmosphere

Did you use Ratemyprofessor prior to selecting him? You may have to stomach it for this semester. You're well passed the add/drop period and switching classes now would be a disaster.
As you mentioned, take advantage of tutoring or form a study group with other students in the class. Can guarantee at least one of them is having difficultly. I know it's a stretch, but you can also talk to the professor as well for help.

Yea, truck through it if you can, but talk to other students and see if you can get a study group going. As I mentioned in my edit, can pretty much guarantee other students are having trouble.

yeah, I think every professor in the world must prove he can talk english perfectly before getting a degree. Cuz USA is the exact center of the earth, right.

a professor is being invited to a university mostly because he is well known for its knowledge and not fluent english. Students have to live with it. Professors that don't speak English well often offer printed lectures to read. Generally, a student should learn more than he/she gets in class by self-studying. Every professor says something about the literature that is relevant of the course - go to the library and read a little.

Also, did you mention the key phrase in the OP? "It's not like I'm paying attention anyways". That's all I needed to see. I also see a lot of students that do not pay attention at all, reading magazines, playing their cellphones or even listening music and then complaining at the end of the course that the lecturer was talking too quiet. Or coming up with some similar shit.

read my posts above. The professor does not owe you a shit. I also had a lot of professors as a student that did not speak German well, and still took from them a lot of useful knowledge. Ask your prof for a printed version of his lecture material if he didn't offer any yet and read them while he's speaking, or wait for the same course in the next semester. If you WANT to pass the course, you will make it.

I still remember the professor from Harvard that teached several courses when I was studying. He barely spoke German, often mixed up german words with english or even switched to english when he didn't find a word in german and pronounced german words with terrific english accent which was horrible because some german words are written similar in english but have different meaning (like "mass" - measure in german), so this was awful. Still, he's the only one person in my life that made me understand the most important topics in topology and differential geometry, so I'm happy I attended that class after all.

Stand up, and start screaming at him "YOU WANT TWENTY DOLLA', I GIVE YOU TWENTY DOLLA'!" Then run.

I just don't attend lectures. Most of the time I will fall asleep as soon as the professor start to utter a word. Luckily I'm studying stuff that don't need much understanding, just need to remember tons of facts. Skip his lectures, find a good friend to teach you later. Or you can always study by yourself.

I had an Indian teacher for Calc; I couldn't understand a word he said. I used Youtube to learn everything from the textbook. Youtube works wonders!

Get used to it, I guarantee it won't be the last time this happens to you. Give it some time and focus and you will pick up on what they are saying better over time.

Tough luck. I've got friends who have professors from the PRC, and they are -very- hard to understand. Sometimes they even go off and discuss in Mandarin rather than English, to the consternation of anyone that isn't Singaporean Chinese or Chinese. Its rather annoying.
Its either you.. Get used to it, or find someone who can understand your professor better.

He's like some asian dude, he says intuhvuh instead of interval and funtun instead of function and makes ee uh ummmm noises every other word.
It's not like I'm paying attention anyways but this is very discouraging. How are people supposed to absorb knowledge when it's being chopped up like its in a fucking blender.
How do I remedy this? I don't think I should proceed to punch things like I usually do for I fear it will only make this situation even worse.
