Get games by simply staying on the recently launched Joys & Games website http://joysegames.com/

How? Register (pass is sent to your email); Login; Click the math maker to start it (mining app); Afk/Play/Etc. That's it!
You will receive 1 coin per minute. Once you have enough, make your order. It'll be sent to your registered email.

  • More games will be added constantly.
  • Some games are 1 copy only.
  • Half-price promos may show up for a limited time so stacking coins is useful.
  • Cheaters won't be banned, but they won't get games either. I will check.
  • Games marked as group send (like Vermintide) will get sent in batches
  • 1x copy games are delivered on a first come, first serve basis. Hint: Marooners is gone, I will delist it shortly.
  • The math app uses a bit of your cpu power. It is set to very low usage and makes it proportional to your PC's specs. You can download cpu and heat measuring apps to verify this.

If you have any feedback, please feel free to comment anything you want! I'm open to suggestions.

Well I do get pretty much the equivalent. If I break even I'll be surprised and happy enough. The miner is turned way down.
To people who want games this is pretty good actually, even if it's just for the extra steam wallet funds from cards.

There's already vermintide listed and a couple of games from humble monthly.
Also I truly intend to add a lot of mostly interesting games.

If you have enough spare money to buy all of those games yourself, you have no reason to check my site out anyway.
Or steamgifts for that matter. Unless all you do is create giveaways, of course.

Most people can leave the site open while they play games without losing any performance, too, so it's still a win-win.

Thank you! I hope you get the games you want.

If you're looking for specific games, you can always suggest them! Specially bundle games. They will definetly cost less coins.
You can also suggest big unbundled games, but beware you will have to stack a lot of coins for it.

No, you can afk or play games, etc. The miner is set to very low because I wouldn't ever put anyone's hardware at risk.
Games that are on your computer's limits might get an FPS drop, though, so in that case I recommend not having the site open.

No, I've set it to really, really low. And it's proportional to your computer's power, so regardless of what hardware you have, mining won't push it. Also it uses your CPU instead of your video card.

It would only be risky if I had the settings higher because of overheating. But it's really on very low.
You can confirm this by downloading any app that measures your hardware's usage and temperature.

Your Pc works harder and you pay more for electricity than you got from him .
And many sites with java stuff add this bitcoin generating stuff to your browser hidden ,thats the reason why your browser start getting slower ,because more people mine with your browser .

What I mean is "verify it yourself". That's a lot better than pointing fingers for no good reason.

You do not. In fact, I don't want you to, and that's why I don't reward you for it.
The settings are on very low because it's what makes it safe for your PC.

It's a win-win for the both of us if you don't change it.

I can also check for stats so if people lower the settings I will consider it cheating.
I will deduct coins from cheaters when they order games.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Since this comes from the browser, it is great that it gives you a heads up about it. This kind of thing shows up on some sites without any warning. Because it can be set defaulted to very high settings without you ever knowing, it is dangerous.

It is clearly written on my website and you can verify it doesn't abuse your hardware by downloading any cpu usage / temperature measuring software.

Anti-viruses give the same warning for everything, so it makes sense they wouldn't say "This is potentially dangerous but we checked Joys and he's a good guy and his site is fine. Just be careful anyway. The Kaspersky team." :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

No dude, Kaspersky doesn't even let me run it, it auto blocks it, no questions no nothing.. so what you are saying is not quite right..

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

On the contrary. Kaspersky is doing it's job. If it might be dangerous, it gets blocked. Even if it isn't. That's why game cracking files get blocked. Kaspersky and other anti-viruses know it can be dangerous so it blocks access just in case. It uses data from their database to decide for you, it doesn't confirm on a case-by-case basis.

My site lets you know about it. You manually start it. You can see it's set to low usage. You can verify it on your own, too. Kaspersky doesn't know this.

Other sites might do the same, hidde, at max settings and without any warning. Kaspersky knows this.

There is a difference between me posting links to a random site I found and me posting links to my own website for a monetary gain. In this case, it's obvious that it is done in order to gain something in return, which is why I complained in the first place.

So your websites use coinhive to mine Monero crypto-currency...

One more currency that produces energy wastes for no intrinsec value of computed hashes.

People should mine Monero directly if they really want to, keeping in mind their power consumption efficiency that varies from one CPU to another...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The way you said "what people should do" is weird because you made it sound like as if that's not just your personal opinion.

Discussion of what is Bitcoin and other cryptos are not something I'm open to, and I ask you to inform yourself better so you don't give false information regarding it. I suggest links with through, unbiased and logical explanations.

I will not reply further about either "what people should do" or crypto-specific matters.

Thank you for your concerns.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

There is nothing to interpret that much of what I said : I just advise people they could mine Monero themselves if they want to. That could even start by running the coinhive scripts by subscribing to coinhive and run scripts for themselves...

You obviously know it is more efficient to make other people mine for you than mining yourself, or you would run a crypto mining farm.
You are the one who are talking about bitcoins. I am just informing people what you use, I understand you don't really want to discuss about it, but there are no big secrets o_o
So now, instead of just giving "unbiaised" explanations like numbers of computed hashes per Watt since you don't want to discuss about it (or do you since you suggest finally unbiased explanations ?)... (meh too bad I don't have such specific links, maybe you do, as you probably made much more searches than me while setting your website ?), I will just say that :
my only concerns is this one : https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/LyhwWXl o_o

Comment has been collapsed.

I understand now what you're saying and I apologize for my attitude.

However, I mostly disagree with your points because:

  • Mining on your own, while giving almost the same results, takes a really long time unless you have a very powerful PC. You can't get what you mine any time you mine, you must reach a threshold first. That on it's own already is reason enough for me to not mine at all. It would take me over 2 months to reach the minimum threshold on maximum settings if I mined solo. It's not practical unless you have a very good PC.
  • Actually, right now I give you way more than I receive from your mining.
  • It's set to very, very low. Playing games consumes a lot more energy.
  • I appreciate your concerts, but because I believe my site truly is good for people who are interested in iit's proposal, I prefer waiting for my ticket's response.

In the OP it reads:

  • The math app uses a bit of your cpu power. It is set to very low usage and makes it proportional to your PC's specs. You can download cpu and heat measuring apps to verify this.

Pretty much any game you play will use your computer a lot more than this. Damage comes from overheating, which won't happen under such low settings. It's a lot more likely to get your computer damaged by playing counter-strike all day, though. This is very lightweight.

In my opinion, it is a good deal for most people. But I understand if you disagree.

Hi there!
I just registered, because it looks very promising. Are you sure with the prices for the games? Like 600 coins (10hours) for Seasons of fall seems pretty cheap. Considering it was around 10 bucks before this month humblebundle, its like 1 buck per hour for doing nothing. Its similar with the other games.
I can imagine a lot users will register at your side. Are you sure you have enough games for them?
Just asking, because your payment seems really high and i dont want you to generate "debts".

Comment has been collapsed.

There will be unique copies of games every now and then like Seasons after All.

But unfortunately I will increase coins cost after the launch period so I can at least maintain the site.

Even if it some games end up with a 5000+ coins price tag, I strongly believe this is still a good opportunity for gamers because it's not random at all. As long as you have the coins, which you will get, you can get games for them. It's not a risk.

Also, even though I can only do so much right now, if enough people (I don't like the term "user" but that's just me) are still interested in the site after the launch period, I will get the mining results in advance and use that to buy games and invest so I can buy games, which I already know how to do so there's very little risk when it reaches this point. Until then, yes, there's a chance I end up in a little debt and get a bad rep, but then that's how every start-up works.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Thanks a lot for the reply!
Iam fine with some games having a high price tag. Even if a game is 10000 coins, you can get it within 20 days (if you let the mining program run 10hours every day). Considering that some games can easily provide you 50+ hours of gameplay this still seems like a very good opportunity. However, you should maybe make it more clear in the OP, that you will increase prices after launch. I expected this, but not everyone does. Its usually better to make things clear beforehand.
I really like your project and idea and i hope that its going to be successful! I think both sides can benefit from it!

As an example, my laptop does 12 hashes per second on Coinhive. It takes 78.8 million hashes to earn 1 USD. This means, if you take 0% for yourself, I would need to run my laptop at 100% CPU for 76 days for a $1 game. Factor in the cost of electricity, and the shorter lifespan of my hardware, and I don't believe this is going to be a valid business model.
