You should try the following games (I didn't see them on your curator page). I indicated the time it took me to beat the game (100% = all achievements). Note that I'm a casual :P
There could be more, but I've beaten some of the games offline and some multiple times and I don't remember how long it took me ;)

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Several of those I have on my list (Antichamber is probably one of the next short games I'll want to play) and some were suggested by others as well. But "Time Gentlemen, Please", "Shadowgate" and especially "Serena" were new ideas to my. Thanks a lot.
The Edna & Harvey games and Whispered World I have on my list, because I want to play them, but they're definitely to long for my curator page. The 7h games are kind of on the edge, because I generally draw the line at about 5-6 hours (with some exceptions) I keep an eye on Rocketbirds and Tomb Raider.
And about Portal: Yes, I played it and loved it, but it is just too long ago, to say for sure, how long it took me, so I plan to play it again at some point and then write a review about it. :)

It is if you want to give your kid the attention it needs. But maybe at one point you'll get to share your hobby. At least my 2.5 year old already brought me my gamepad saying: "Daddy, you should play a game" and then she sat beside me with another controller (not connected) "playing along" while I played Lego City Undercover 😍

8 pages, and no-one's recommended Into the Breach yet.
Need to fix that, because I think it's perfect for someone who doesn't have too much time on their hands (like myself).
It's a turn-based tactics game that's designed to fit an entire campaign into 2-3 hours.
Achievement hunting in order to unlock more stuff within the game gives it extra variety and replayability, and the core gameplay is rock solid, so odds are it will last you more than 2-3 evenings, but being able to finish a campaign in a single sitting if you only have a few hours to spare is really nice..

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I heard very good things about this one and I have it on my wishlist already because it looks like a roguelike game even I would enjoy. But thanks for your personal opinion on it. Helps me to know, that this indeed could be a great game for me.

Bump.
This is quite a crappy recommendation, but Hell Girls fits the description of this thread quite well. If you only look at it as a match-3 game + anime stuffs and ignore the rest, then it's an OK game, which you can finish in two or three evenings.

Weird, it should be available worldwide. Here the link to it: http://store.steampowered.com/app/575550/Hell_Girls/
Well, it's by the infamous publisher SakuraGame, but at least the core gameplay is not affected that much by bad translation.

Hello everybody
With family and job I don't get to play tons of big 100 hours AAA-titles anymore. So I got much pickier about which big games to play. But also I enjoy little games much more, meaning games that I can play in between or that I can beat within 2 or 3 evenings. That's why I decided to start a curator page for just these kind of games. If you're interested, feel free to take a look (or even follow me) here.
Of course this kind of advertisement would be dull (maybe it is even so ;) ) if I wouldn't have some GAs for you, so here you go with a little train of bundled games:
This way to the train
(Disclaimer: These games don't correspond with the games of my curator page.)
And as a bonus I have a copy of Figment
Bedtime Digital Games (the creators of the game) provided me with a key I can give away, so others can enjoy the game as well. So I gladly give it away here to someone of you. All you have to do is answer three little + easy questions about my review of the game. Here is your link to the question:
This way to the Figment-GA
If you have recommendations for other games I should have an eye on and maybe (when I have the time) could test, I always enjoy those. Or things that make me laugh of course. :)
PS: Being a gamer with little time means also to be a SG-User with little time, so please forgive me, if I may not be so fast with responding to your comments.
