I'm pretty sure many of the Steamgifters who were born in the 80s had their first video game experiences playing the Original Game Boy.
I still remember Christmas 1989 (or was it 1990? :D) when I got my Game Boy with an Tetris cartridge and couldn' t stop playing.
Over the next years I started collecting a few nice games which I still fondly remember. Most of the times you couldn't save your games, you always had to check your batteries, the display was monochromatic, but nonetheless I had lots of fun playing the games.

So, this puzzle is dedicated to my Game Boy collection. I chose ten games I owned and really loved to play back in the days. If you can guess all of them (titles as found on German/English Wiki are correct), you gain access to a train consisting of a recent bundle. This time, screens were taken off Youtube vids, so you shouldn't be able to use Google to search for the images. ;-)

The puzzle is LEVEL 1+ and ends on December 2nd on 19:09 German Time.

I don't know if hints will be necessary, so tell me, if it's too hard to solve and I will try to help.

I'm really upset I missed this one :(. The gameboy was what got me into gaming about 20 years ago, my gameboy still works to this day...obviously with new batteries. Anyway, it's always great to see that there are other people who appreciate it!
Also, no Kwirk? I still play that game :)

Sorry to hear that you missed the puzzle, you probably wouldn't have had any problems solving it. ;-)
Yeah, it was really a special time, you didn't have that many games to choose from, so you played anything you could get your hands on.

I remember Kwirk, I didn't own it by myself, but a friend of mine had it and I played a few rounds. It was a nice, difficult (in higher levels) puzzler with a catchy theme as far as I can remember.

I had a proper look at the puzzle and instantly realised that I would not have done well hahaha. I only played a few games properly as I was never really interested in playing other games.

Kwirk was great fun, I love games like that. And yes the theme is very catchy, I used to just leave the game running so I could listen to it. I'm pretty sure that theme is responsible for my love of chiptune in general :).

Kwirk, Super Mario Land, Pokemon Blue/Red/Yellow, Metroid II, Kung Fu Master and Monster Truck Wars were the games I played as often as I could.

The gameboy is responsible for my love of gaming and my games/consoles collection :)
