winner has 7days to activate wins, per site rules. this suggestion goes against that.

it doesn't matter what i think or how i feel about the situation. the rules are there for a reason. on the other hand, i'm by no means against a point wipe upon a win in order to slow winners down a little. but it would have nothing to do with redemption.

What do you mean by "they were online" ? Everytime I'm away for a few days without my computer, my steam account (on my computer) stays online, I can check steamgifts and enter giveways using my phone, but I have no way of redeeming keys.

it can be by within a 30min status if they arent running scripts that keep the connection active. and by saying that i don't mean the auto-join scripts, there are scripts that can refresh the header for you every 'x' minutes to check for wins/messages and those are perfectly legit here on this site.

so yes and no.. it means something is at least keeping their account active whether it be themselves on a mobile device or pc, or whether it be a legit script they use, or possibly even a auto-joining bot.

i use one of the legit scripts that is capable of keeping the connection alive, however i disable that feature so others don't see me online improperly.

You can login to this site on a mobile phone but cannot redeem a Steam game without desktop client.

Problems would stem from games that aren't properly released yet, for instance as a current example the prequel for Life is Strange or the new COD, no way to redeem them yet. Although a pop-up, remembering of the win and the need to activate the key, would be a nice addition. Everything else should be handled on a case to case basis by support, IMO.

About a year ago I only had very restricted access to the internet (steam blocked), so I was only able to activate the games back home at the weekends.
