While the CPU does go up, I think it's due to the particle effect on the background. Switching to a tab with static content drops the CPU down to idle level. Same effect can be observed on Chrono.gg, which loads tons of MP4 files to display on the icons when you hover on them.
And if they want to mine, they have to communicate with the server somewhere to report its job. So far, I don't see any request coming out of the page.

I don't keep a close on my hardware so I don't really notice...
I only know that they redesigned a lot of stuff because of the new diamonds currency and they added this crappy survey/ad-watch system that you may know from tremor games :-/
So maybe the website is not yet optimized, dunno ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I don't know...just tried it while watching my CPU and it didn't really make a difference.
If you talk about the quote that Az posted above, then I would say I don't think that's the way they mean it :D
To me it looks like they just tried to be funny with that, instead of writing: "It may take some hours until you get your diamonds..."
As I said above, they have now integrated the survey-system from tremor-games and where it works the same...you have to do the survey thing and then you (maybe) get your coins in a few hours :D
But I can't prove anything, so maybe somebody who reads this is an expert and is able to check if they are doing stuff like that :)

Indeed is maybe the wording, while they introduced the Diamonds for doing tasks (like in tremor).
Tested some Mine-blocks and nothing pop-up, if you visit the inventory you can see a decrease on the CPU usage, indeed I think are animations from site doing the rise on CPU.
I.E. redeem site has no animations
P.S. I hate their new Diamond thing.

Seems like I'm one of the few people where it actually worked without problems (I'm from germany).
But the amount of reported problems speaks for itself...lootboy really messed this deal up somehow :-/

Yeah, but not very often and the games often have been free before somewhere else :/
I think the best one till now was Shadowrun: Hong Kong, wich was not free before.
I can't remember all of them but they also had: Satellite Reign, Two Worlds II Castle Defense, Fortified and some stuff for F2P-games on steam...so pretty low tier :/
Honestly I think it will probably get even worser...because I think they found better ways to attract people (just my guess)
They started streaming a few weeks ago on twitch and that's where they gave away a lot of games to people who were fast enough.
They even had a few nice ones :)
But the people in chat keep screaming for V-bucks (some kind of fortnite currency) and that's why they seem to shift their focus on them and do streams without a single game giveaway :/
I saw that you are also german, so you could check out their stream if you feel interested :)
But like I said...no guarantee that there will be games and if there are you have to be fast, because most of the time there were about 100 keys for about 700 viewers.

well, the diamonds are the future of the site I guess, I bought some premium packs with diamonds and got some steamkeys (although some of them were free before) and a League of Legends 10€ card.
I am not really into streams, I am getting bored soooooo fast xD

If you are doing the survey stuff then wouldn't it be better to go to tremor games so that you can choose your reward?
But if you like the gambling aspect then it's fine I guess :D

surveys I do on tremor and on swagbucks
on lootboy I bought the diamond quest packs and got between 200-500 diamonds for just making accounts on browsergames (you do not need to play). That was like 20 min "work" each day.
Why I get the packs is that you can get unbundled stuff if you are lucky and wallet cards for League of Legends for example.
Both would need hours of doing surveys on tremor.
And 2 of those steamkeys I got were actually on my wishlist.

Somebody already asked a similiar question here and I still think the same (Even though this was before the diamond-update).
I think it would also get dangerously close to violating the sg guidelines:

All the codes worked fine for me just now, including "Charly". If you're copying&pasting, make sure you're not adding a space at the end of the codes.

It seems Lootboy has gotten a lot better when it comes to duplicated keys, but if you still have doubts about a key, you can use the group below for those giveaways :)
Unfortunately it happens far too often that Lootboy is handing out duplicate keys, so a lot of people feel uncomfortable with creating public giveaways with the games from Lootboy. So I just created a little group with some rules to make it less risky for the generous givers.I hope this helps :)
