PayPal new fees and groupbuys

So I checked the new rules in my country and it seems that EUR and SEK payments (f&f transfers) within EU countries will be treated as local, so no fees.

I think the moral of the story is.. live in the United States.
Is it not possible to just.. tell paypal you live in the US? Pick any mcdonalds as your address lol

Just asking....but can it be that there is some new us law which forces paypal to do so?
Get from different Sites/Companys in the last days Mails about their Mailinglist that if you still want to be receive ones click here as something changed.
But maybe it is just a big coincidence that both things happen in the same timeframe...

Revolut is good alternative to PayPal

Maybe they can form a smaller group of trusted people where they purchase constantly and pay less times each other than before.

Seems I need to find an EU-groupbuyer for any future transactions.

But this is just bullshit and I hope it harms Paypal a lot. Who would pay 5 bucks to send money? That's insane.
According to the Dutch document it's 2 euro Europe-VS but that's still quite the sum if the transaction is usually around a dollar.

Interesting change in a time, where other payment methods show up as real competitors. Seems like suicide?

Yep, I am Canadian and this change was applied to us October 10, 2017. I stopped collecting bundles because of it, I just buy the rare bundle I with games I will play.
It's sad to see them apply this to USA also. I guess only thing we can do is either tank the free and send someone like $30 and have credit with them, or find a new payment website.

Personally I would be okay with just a 2.9% fee, as it won't hurt people sending $1-5 for a bundle split or leftover games, but $2.99 fee completely kills it.
