help i have a problem with steam

so basically i have payday 2 and i want to buy the old hoxton breakout okay! but it says i don't have the base game which is payday 2 im not sure whats the problem or if it is because my friend gave it to me but can someone please help me

If you just joined. Turn off the game, turn it back on again.
If not that, then verify files of game.

downloading the base game should include this dlc

maybe you need to unlock the content by playing, for example on the hoxton breakout heist dlc it says "When you complete the Hoxton Breakout Heist for the first time, you unlock Old Hoxton as a playable character."

i played tf2 for 285 hours and only unlocked 39% of the achievements, play time is not important on games with a lot of content (payday 2 seems to be one of them)

now seriously do you have your updates on for this game? and the dlc's are active on the steam game settings?

in game: in crime.net press f (filters) then change contract to Hoxton Breakout Community. Press ESC and you will see some games with this heist.

Just be patient since it doesn't always appears right away, or enter the Buy Contract sreen on Crimenet and you should see it. You should also have the community items on your melee weapons selection
