How long and what system run on your main computer without beign reinstalled?
I used to reinstall every 3 months - 98SE/XP/Vista/7/8.1 all started experiencing issues after some time. Since windows 10 however, my system is running a lot more stable, and I have not experienced and problems even though it's been over a year since I last installed.

I use Windows 10 and Linux on dual boot, the last time I reinstalled both of them was in august 2016, but usually I have to do that because I mess with the systems trying to do some random things that I think are cool/useful and eventually end up breaking it.

From Windows 3.x through Windows 98/ME and early XP, I had to re-install every 6 months to a year. I had done it so many times I could do it with my eyes closed and be back up and running in an hour or two.
Since Windows XP SP2, I don't think I've had to re-install Windows on a device in its lifetime. My current PC is only 4 months old, but the previous one I built in 2008 with Windows 7 and never did a re-install until I build this new one. When I built a PC for someone a few years ago, I bought myself a few things to upgrade it, including an SSD. I intended to re-install Windows 7 on the SSD, but since it was set up the way I liked it and had been stable and such a long time since I re-installed, I just never got around to doing it. A fast boot isn't necessary since I always put my system in sleep at night and when I'm not home, so I only reboot once a month anyway after the monthly patches.

I've never reinstalled the OS in any of my PCs. I've only installed a newer OS on my 486 20 years ago. My Pentium 2 really needs a reinstall because the second hard disk died 6 years ago and all games and programs that I had installed there no longer work and can't be uninstalled either. I would need to get another hard disk with more capacity because its 6,4GB hard disk is too small for all my programs and games.
I bought my Pentium 4 on December 2002 and I've never had to reinstall its OS. My current PC is almost 6 and a half years old and I don't plan on reinstalling its OS unless I upgrade it.

oh an AMD CPU, how is that working out for you?
Do you encounter many optimization issues with games or do most games run reasonably well with an AMD CPU?
I don't know why but when i've used AMD GPU's i've always encountered problems with games, since i've started using Nvidia GPU's the problems stopped.

I'm mostly playing indie games, but so far I haven't had any issues. I've never used AMD GPus since I had heard that they had crappy drivers and I've always preferred Nvidia. Not that some Nvidia drivers haven't had issues, but at least most of them are okay.

Well, we have one computer at the Hospital that has been running 24 / 7 / 365 and it is running windows 98... does that count?
tbh, I don't think its ever been turned off either. and, no one really uses it. infact we have no idea why we have it.. except for the fact we wonder how long it can keep going. it's a old IBM machine.

My windows 7 last reinstall has been running since 16th of june of 2016 !
I tend to reformate my windows when it starts to show problems/slowdowns, tipically happens after 4-6 months but so far it has been running reasonably well so i haven't reformated it yet since that date.
I'm actually surprised its been running this well for so long since its a pirated version of Windows 7 and not an original version but then again who has money to get an original copy of a windows system, i prefer to save my money to upgrade my pc than to do that.

Windows 10 since October, because it was previously an upgrade of 7.
I reinstall when I feel like it based upon factors other than time.
I've been doing things like installing Steam games to non-OS partitions, choosing the non-install version of some programs, as well as storing all personal and media files on non-OS partitions, for years. You just export a few settings and that's about it.
You don't even need to prepare a list of installed programs (if you tend to have more programs you like than you can easily remember) because you can just eyeball the previous program files folders after install in Windows.old. You just have to have a decent feel for which ones are complex to set up and should have their settings exported.
Hell, I used to have the same uTorrent stats for over 5 years through multiple installs and upgrades to new Windows versions due to backing up the settings.

Installed on 15/08/2015 so around a year and a half, win 7.
This is the second installation on this PC, I decided to reinstall everything after upgrading my graphics card cos the driver changes left the system a bit unstable. I have no plans of reisntalling windows untill I must.

I guess converting the system from x86 to amd64 counts as a some kind of a reinstall. That was in 2008.
I've been using the same system, just copying the data to new hard disks or new computers since 2003, no need for reinstalling.
Hardware and filesystems have changed, but the OS and the system have stayed the same.
I'm using Gentoo Linux.

Ever since I had W7 installed on a SSD in 2011, I haven't felt the need of reeinstalling. Only reason I'd consider doing it, would be if I couldn't get rid of some malware manually.

Mine is running for nearly 2 years without reinstalling from scratch.
Since then I upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1, and before that from 7 to 8.1 without need to format.
I also upgraded motherboard / CPU / RAM and GFX card last month.
