I`m thinking of buying DYNASTY WARRIORS 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition from the last steam summer sales. I want to play it with a controller, but the game is still freakin expensive, even when on sale.

What do you guys advice me? buy it or leave it?

Bought it for 6 keys, you might try to search for a good deal on steamtrades or anywhere else.

I have never played any DW before, but it's pretty much fun if you dont expect ultra graphics and don't mind the kinda repetetive gameplay. The game has pretty much content, make sure you try all gamemodes, but it's better to start with the campaign.

Again, i paid ~10€ for this game, by trading it for 6 keys.

edit: I see you have already bought it, alright.

6 TF2 keys or Dota 2? I assume the former.

Totally worth it. I've only played 1 campaign and it took forever, so you'll definitely get your moneys worth. There's a TON of content.

i've played older DW games but not this one yet. the older ones were also worth the money, and i've heard this one does a lot more so I say go for it. for me it's cheaper on kinguin.net then it is on steam with the 50% off! (i've bought many games there and i can confirm the site delivers)

I'm a huge game since the 2nd one (1st game of the series was a 101 fighting game) and I bought it to my PS3. I'm going to purchase it for PC since it'll be cheaper than buy the DLCs on PS3. :P

As Skulleater said, the other games are great too. The Empire line is a strategy/action game, where you change the course of action while the Xtreme Legends have some extra perks to the game play compared to the original edition.

You can also check the Samurai Legends franchise, same engine from DW but based in japanese history (DW is based directly on historical facts registered at the Romance of Three Kingdoms)
