I was looking @ SWTOR for $6 but it has not dropped below 10 :(

Just a heads up for everyone who has 5$ credit and wants to buy Hotline Miami sometime:

Amazon normally price matches the steam prices if you ask them. In 1 and 2 of January, the Winter steam sale is still one, so you might manage to get it for 1 dollar or two. Or even for free if you have the luck of the game being a daily deal on those days.

Just another heads up that I'm around to help people buy this stuff if they aren't in the US

(The offer does also extend to region-restricted Steam sales)

Hmm, I haven't got the Steam keys for Majesty Gold and the Majesty 2 expansions in the Paradox Majesty Franchise bundle. Perhaps the key for Majesty 2 gets one the entire collection, but I'd like to confirm that before activating. Sent an email to the customer service.

What, really? Should they?! Why, I'd sure never have thought of this. Silly me!

Majesty 2 key gives you the entire Majesty 2 bundle. Amazon might have ran out of Majesty Gold keys though, so you should get one when they restock.

Well, I probably should tell I've got from them an answer of supreme helpfulness and importance.

Er, that's about as dumb as they get. Thank you, Keenan, you've really earned that 1 star service rating!

Sent one more message, tried to elaborate. It's getting quite funny.

Well now, after some further stupidity I got the following answer:

Hello,

I've reviewed our previous correspondences with you, and I'm very sorry about the misleading information you received.

I understand you required the steam product keys for the following :

  1. Majesty 2 Collection
  2. Majesty Gold

There has been a technical error and I have forwarded this information to the technical team. After research, I have verified that the above two products are actually game downloads and are not Online Game Codes. However, this information was not reflected properly on the website and it shows as "Online Game Codes".

Thanks for bringing this to our notice. I have forwarded the information to our technical team to get it corrected as soon as possible.

What.

Wow, that's quite fail. Did you not get any key at all for Majesty Gold HD? Or was it just not a steam key?

edit
here is one free if a referral tag

Is the tag thing an actual referral though? I don't think it is :/
Plus the link you gave has a "ref" thing in it. I know it's not a referral, but people here will complain if I leave it in.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It is. I own an Amazon Affiliates account, and anything that has &tag= in the link is a referral.

Permalink

Amazon liks with ref arent referrals in the way that account referrals work. It usually means you were brought there through some other product or something. Not sure, but I can confirm that refs=/=account referrals.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

&tag= means it is a referral link. Anything purchased at that link will generate cash for the person who owns that referral account, in this case cheapassgamer.

ref = reference. It describes how you got to that page, through a sidebar or banner ad or whatever, and does NOT generate revenue.

Total war pack is pretty good if you have none of the games. Too bad its over my price limit :(

I probably would have grabbed several of those Sega bundles immediately a couple weeks ago, before all the other sales happened. The Genesis collection and Dreamcast packs both look like great deals, although I've heard that several of the Dreamcast ports are significantly worse than just playing the old console versions.

Sega Action Pack is actually $20

Total War Bundle + Viking is the Total War Master Collection with Rome: Total War - Alexander DLC and Total War: Shogun 2 - Rise of The Samurai Campaign DLC which cost an extra $13. It was only reduced to $31.98 during the Total War Weekend sale so it's a great deal.

Sonic Action Pack is decent, but it's only a bit over 75% off.

Dreamcast Pack is good as you get Jet Set Radio as well as the Dreamcast Collection for cheaper than it's been on Steam. ($7.49)

Sega Arcade Pack this is the worst one they have. Just a weird mix of games and Renegades Ops can be obtained cheap if you trade.

Sega Action Only Pack is great if you want Binary Domain and any of the other games. With Binary Domain being $39.99 and the rest $14.99 it's a no brainer.

Sega Genesis Classics Pack is better than we've seen on Steam. The packs are $37.50 all together or $9.38 at 75% off.

It's unfortunate that Amazon will not be giving steam keys for people who bought the packs over Black Friday.

I don't believe Amazon had Steam keys for the majority of the games beforehand. The rep had said he contacted many publishers and Sega was the first to reply with keys so that's why they're on sale.

Everyone was well aware that Steam keys weren't included. That's the equivalent of getting mad at a developer for not giving you a second license for their game when you already on it on Desura and it's been Greenlit. It's nice of them, but by no means required of them.

Tony! said he was going to look into getting a 30 day policy for situations like this in the future, where you'd receive Steam keys if Amazon receives them within 30 days of your purchase or something.

Love all the ones that have Sonic and old school Sega, but then there's a bit of overlap. I'll see what some of the Sonic games cost individually, as I'm not a big enough Sonic fan to justify the entire Sonic Action Pack.

Nope, only the entire pack is on sale :(

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, so I think I'm going to pass on the Sonic Action Pack. I only like Sonic in small doses, and all the stuff I do want would be cheaper on sale than the total 12 games.

Now to figure out whether I want the Dreamcast pack ... I keep reading how horrible the ports are.
