Have your best Christmas ever! ^^
I trully loved Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. It was a long time since Desperados and the Commandos series. Been waiting for them to release Desperados III.
A Hat In Time was a blast too. You may want to try Yooka-Laylee as well. I think you will find it to your liking since you enjoyed A Hat In Time.

Shadow Tactics looks great, definitely one I want someday.

I enjoyed Yooka-Laylee. Have A Hat in Time to play yet :D
Happy Christmas and the coming year :)

Shadow Tactics is amazing indeed. One of my favorites too. 👍
Merry Christmas Holy!

Holy shit how the hell did I not know they released a Katamari remake on Steam?! That's just gone straight to my wishlist, the original two games are some of favourite of all time. Cheers for the heads up!
Wreckfest looks great fun, and I'll admit the "pinball" element of Yoku put me off initially, but on your high recommendation I'll give it a try as i see there's a demo available.

This year I discovered I actually like visual novels and retro graphics, so I can only name a couple of titles that won´t matter to most people. The Lion´s Song, for example. The Darkside Detective was a lot of fun. Other than that, I played Shadow of the Tomb Raider demo and loved it, so I´m definitely buying the game when the next sale comes in.

I really enjoyed the previous two Tomb Raider games, so yeah I'm also looking forward to the new one.

My computer isn't very good and I don't usually buy games unless it's in a bunde or heavily discounted so the games I played this years are all old games, the best ones:
Deus Ex: fantastic games last through time, and this one despite showing its age in some aspect is indeed just as amazing as many people said it is.
Deus Ex Human Revolution + Mankind Divided: prequel to the original DX, both are great games and very enjoyable to play; I hope there will be a third game someday.
INSIDE and Virginia: both gorgeous games with great atmosphere, no dialouge and an abstract stories. It may depend on your taste but loved my time with both of them.
Rakuen: this game got me crying buckets, but also gave me lots of hope.
Wuppo: charming world and very enjoyable gameplay.
Borderlands 2: I haven't beaten this game yet (and most likely won't before the year ends since I have too many thing to do), had tons of fun playing solo despite the grindiness.
Thank you for the chance, Happy Holiday and a good New Year to you too.

INSIDE is fantastic, good choice. I think I played it earlier this year or last. I also loved Little Nightmares, which I'd recommend to you.

Most of those I already own, but some of them are really nice. Thanks for the chance.
Also TIL I have 1.8 sent/win ratio, lol. I thought I barely pass 1.2 rule.

You know, honestly, I only really started playing games on Steam properly since the summer. I have nothing better to do recently. I may have bought a few too many bundles, so have a backlog now. Plus many more in my to trade or give away list. Oops.
My favourite that I've played so far was Dust: An Elysian Tale. Still playing it actually. Oceanhorn and Bastion are others that I enjoyed a lot. I like those kinds of games.
Despite owning A Hat in Time, I haven't been able to play it. Controller support is non-existent on mac. As a former console player, it's impossible to do keyboard + mouse. I'm also in a lot of pain, so can't be hovering over a keyboard. lol. Been hearing lots of good things about the game though.
Yooka Laylee is a nice game too, but it suffers from the same frustrating platformer controls that I was used to on console back in the day. The simplest task (jumping 3-4 moving platforms) can sometimes take umpteen tries because the controls are so sensitive. ESPECIALLY timed tasks, OMG! I haven't finished the game yet, but I will do.
Nice giveaways. Funnily enough, I have most of the ones in your Dinner and Presents tiers, just not activated as I'm contemplating what to do with them.

Oh man, no controller support would drive me insane. So many games are better with a decent controller. I hope they'll add support on Mac sometime.

Ah, the problem is specific to A Hat in Time. No mac gamer has found a solution, or a controller that actually works with that game despite the devs claiming that the issue is only with some controllers. I have my PS4 controller for other similar games and works awesomely. ^^ It really is the controller to use on a mac since it's simply plug and play. I honestly couldn't play the games I do without it either. It would be awful. :)

Oh, that's really annoying! Yeah i agree the PS4 controller is my preferred device, though I also have a Steel Series or something, I forget the exact name, but it's also very decent.

Love the way these gibs are laid out, real cool, and thank you for 'em! ^^
Easy God of War and RDR2, ouch, they both stole my heart. Mainstream trash, I know, I'm sorry. (Hope you enjoy Red Dead though!)
I also just went and 100%-ed Bastion. Because it's still probably one of my favourite games ever, and it was a bit painful to pull off, but yeah, I don't think any game is gonna strike me as hard as that did the first time I played it. Said I'd put it down but couldn't, not when that narration is pretty much goading you to finish it right damn now. Otherwise, it feels like walking out on a storyteller :')

Well done on that Bastion achievement! I love that game too, though i loved Transistor even more, which i 100%'d. Now you've got me wondering how to correctly write 100% as a verb... 100%ed, 100%'d, 100%-ed...
RDR2 will be awesome. I forgot to mention in my original post that I also finished and liked Horizon Zero Dawn this year.

Oh, damn, I forgot I played Horizon too, this year! Jesus, I got busy, that was a good game :D
But yay, thank you! I ought to replay Transistor too, seeing as I haven't played it on my account yet. Whoops. The atmosphere in that game is one of the best in existence.
And yeah, I'm glad you're looking forward to it! As for the uh, verb thing, we could always go cop-out and just do one-hundred-percented, or 100-percented or something. Not nearly as clean though. This'll haunt me for a long while T_T

Monster Hunter World, FF15, Trails of Cold Steel 1 & 2, Okami, Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2 have been the most memorable games I have played this year! It's mostly a year of single player RPGs for me which has been quite different to previous years where I only play one MMORPG and a MOBA game hahaha!
Thanks for the great giveaways and happy holidays!

2018 was a great year for PC, we've got some old but great console ex-exclusives. Yakuza 0 (hopefully the whole series will be ported at some point), Killer7, Shenmue, Sunset Overdrive. Still haven't played any of them though :D
I should've also played more of my latest SG winnings but apparently the hardest thing is to start.
DOOM is the most epic FPS I've ever played.

I played the original Shenmue and Killer 7, didn't realise the latter was getting a port. That's good news! I played one of the Yakuza hand on PS3 but didn't really get in to it. Sunset Overdrive looks great!

How do you rate Shadow of the Tomb Raider compared to the previous two outings?

In the spirit of Chistmas and New Year, here's a few celebratory giveaways for you fine people.
I hope you all have enjoyed a good year without too many troubles, and I wish you all the best for 2019.
What have been some of your favourite games that you played this year? (not necessarily a 2018 game, just a game you enjoyed a lot this year. I think A Hat In Time was one of the highlights of the year for me - an absolutely fantastic 3D platformer that brought similar levels of wonder and fun as when I first played Mario 64 back in the day. I've got Red Dead Redemption to play on PS4 over the holiday, so I'm looking forward to that too.
Anyway, on with the giveaways!
Christmas Cracker
A few little gifts for most people
Christmas Dinner
Mostly bundled gifts for those with a decent sent/won CV ratio
Christmas Presents
Some bundled and non-bundled gifts await those with a better sent/won CV ratio
Christmas Treats
What better way to finish off the evening than a few rums or hot wine and some mince pies
I usually add people to my whitelist that have a very good sent/won ratio, and that often give away games to mid and high levels and to their own whitelist. If you are not on my whitelist and feel that you should be, leave a comment on one of the above Christmas Present giveaways :-)
Oh, and a little extra gift can be found from someone if you look at the comments!
