So when you go to a Steamgifts group user page there are a number of statistics next to each user name; Sent, Received, Gift Difference, and Value Difference. Is there an actual explanation for these anywhere? Originally I had thought "Value Difference" related to real CV, but now I'm realizing it might in fact refer to unadjusted CV? The Sent and Received values don't have $ signs in front of them so I'm not sure what they refer to, but have a $ value next to them in brackets (which I assume is adjusted CV?)? And Gift Difference just seems to be the Received minus Sent values (which again I can't find an explanation for).

It would be great if someone could explain these values meaning, or point to some faq that did.

And of course, here's the customary giveaway. :)

User stats for groups do not calculate real CV. Sent and received shows the number of games the user sent or received and then their full current retail value in the brackets. Gift difference is just how many games the user sent compared to won and value difference is how much total value they sent compared to won (in full retail value). A positive number shows how much more they sent compared to won and and a negative number shows how much more they won compared to sent.

So then when the sent and received values are a fraction I assume that somehow relates to giveaways sent to multiple groups and/whitelist at the same time ?

I didn't think about that and I am not 100% positive because I don't participate in many groups, but I'm pretty sure that it does split values between all the groups evenly. So if you allow 4 different groups to enter a GA, the GA value will be split into 4 parts and each group will have 25% of the GA value.

I'm not sure how the winner CV is calculated. If you win a GA that allows 4 groups, but you are only in 1 of the groups, does your won CV in that one group go up the full value of the game or is it still only calculated at 25%. I would guess that the creator gets 25% credit in each group, but it probably only counts the 25% against the winner for the one group they are in.

Edit: I am also not sure if allowing your whitelist to enter counts as another group with the CV split. If you allow one group plus your whitelist, does the group get 100% of CV calculated or does it only get 50% and the other 50% disappears because whitelist doesn't have CV calculations.

WL doesn't divide the cv. If it's one group + WL, the group gets the full value.

I recall it doing so, would have to math out my group stats to confirm for the ones that include WL
whitelist is considered a group by many parts of SG as is.

Only the ammount of groups count for that stats.
The WL don't count.

Example:
2 groups = price of the game, let's assume $20, shared between 2 groups, influence the stats by $10 in each of the groups.
2 groups + WL = the same result

Oh, interesting. I've only recently joined any groups, so I haven't even seen these numbers yet. I'll have to go peek around... 👀

Thanks to all the knowledge shared.
