I'm too lazy to actually do much research on them, but at a glance they look to be fairly similar games with a different setting, one being more sci-fi and the other more fantasy.
Edit: Okay, after reading the pages for both. Edge of Space seems to be a Sci-Fi game inspired by Terraria so it'll probably be fairly similar. Magicite on the other hand looks to be more action/platformer with crafting and Roguelike elements, so it'll definitely play very differently. The game's page says the biggest inspirations were Spelunky and Monster Hunter.
