Chivalry: Medieval Warfare vs. War of the Roses: Kingmaker

I didn't like it. If my opion is enough. I do have to admit that WotR handles archery better but the combat involves too much strafing and running around with your weapon raised for my taste.

I played enough of the game to form an opinion as I'm quite aware of the mechanics involved. Sinking more hours into that would not change my views.

My vote goes for war of the roses. In Chivalry you can parry a 2 handed great sword with a frakking dagger :|

Only played War of the Roses so i gotta say that Chivalry is better. WoTR has way too many op weapons, mainly the 2h sword on the premade class. With the premade class that you start with having the absolute best item in the game, customizing your loadout means nothing. The only thing WoTR has going for it imo is jousting, but that just gets ruined by all the people hiding on rooftops with bows with flaming arrows that can 1 shot the high end horses with max armor.

there's a fuckton of retards swingit it around and then the shieldbashers.
both of they leave their defence right open.

I have War of the Roses (won it here) because I was interested in this genre. I was, unfortunately, disappointed with the pace, the limited tutorial, and the time it took to gather the in-game currency in order to unlock parts.

There is a lot of customization, yes, but I got the impression that you have to play a lot before you can really make the changes while in the meantime you can hit someone repeatedly who seems better geared and never make a dent. Then again, I could missing something about this game since I'm not very experienced.

there's no such thing as superior gear mate.
once you get good the coins and xp will start flowing in.
I can still win with the basic profiles, you hust have to learn
