while i own war of the roses, and only played Chivalry on freeweekend, i will vote in favor of chivalry because of the server situation on Wotr.

Haven't played either of them, but Chivalry looks better, so it has my vote.

I like the visceral melee combat in Chivalry better

Hmmmmm...

I wonder what the correlation is between people who play various kinds of games and which of these two titles they prefer? Does the CS crowd prefer one over the other? Do Assassin's Creed folk have a strong preference? What about those who are Mount & Blade players? It would be interesting to know.

Just gonna vote for Chivalry: Medieval Warfare eventhough I never played either of them before :P

I've only played... maybe three rounds of Chiv, it was alright. I was in the WotR beta and played the released game for a few days after that, I really REALLY wanted to love it, but just couldn't. I think it was the third-person view.

Bought both. Remorsed buying Chivalry, felt like CoD with melee weapons. To be honest WotR is pretty average, unbalanced and repetitive, but i liked it.

I prefer war of the roses, my brother prefers chivalry.
they're both different games. can't really compare em.

1st person vs 3dperson
focusses more on the war on the rpses (obviously) vs broader setting
lighter atmosphere vs dark ages
slower paced vs fast paced
horses vs infantry only

each game has it's pros and cons.

I think this poll isn't fair as most people didn't even give WotR a shot

chivalry is the first game in a long time that actually makes me howl w/ laughter at my own death...and the sword swinging mechanics seem basic but are very deep

You cant compare them, chivalry is just another little casual arcade and WotR is like a medieval sim, mush deeper and fun.
